This is common in the power glide drums. Sonnex even sells/includes H shaped rubber pieces that fit in holes in the lugs of their steels.

As usual, you made a great video! I've always wondered about when I would try the O ring trick. I get the idea of something like that migrating in the drum somehow. I guess I'm overthinking things. Countless people have been doing it for years and I don't recall hearing about a problem with that modification.
