I love us black folk at funerals Everytime we go to a funeral, we have to get dressed up, walk down in the church/funeral home chapel all slow, & seldom but dignified.. before we get inside and cut up, run, cry, and shout. My favorite line is always said, "This ain't no funeral, this is a celebration of life, a homegoing", cue to the MLK funeral home fans waving and a resounding "Amen" and "That's alright" from the guts of your soul.

Make it easy on yourself and stop going and pretending to pay your respect to the family and showing any form of support. The dead person definitely doesn't need your presence and neither does the people that are laying their mother or loved one to rest. Go to white funerals and enjoy the party.
