Mous Case - Real Rider Review

Just got the mouse case in the mail and I’ve very much looking forward to using it on my mountain bike. However, I do not like the hard plastic feel at all. I’ve been using a cheapo soft touch case for a couple years and much prefer the I hand feel. I don’t want to regularly switch cases though either so… I don’t know what to do.

i have had Mous iphone cases for 5 years .. I have had the new Mous clear Maglock case for iphone 14 pro ... that fits on the bike lock and it works perfectly 24/7 .. so I would not see any need to change Mous case when not on bike..

Thanks for a very timely review as I am taking delivery of my RR in the next week and have decided to start recording my rides. FY after testing I didn't really see/ feel much difference between the riding position of the r and the rr so fingers crossed. Once again thanks for your reviews I am enjoying your Vlogs. Pete

The RR is amazing, but it did kill my back, also too feisty in winter, so for me the r was the better all rounder. But if I could I’d have both!

How much do they pay for your lie? On my first cycling trip my phone ( Galaxy 23 ultra ) jumped out of the IntraLock™, MagSafe® mount drop and all corner was crash ( I had glass protection from Mous and phone was in IntraLock™ Phone Case ). My phone was broken not because I dropped it or doing stupid tests like these people in social media. My phone was broken because bike IntraLock™, MagSafe® doesn't keep the phone safe during cycling! I'm totally disappointed

When you do the review of the mounts on the motorcycle, it would be great if you could show some video of how much the phones giggle as you ride and comment on if the giggle makes it difficult to follow GPS navigation while riding. Similarly if you are stopped and just typing in a destination how much does the giggle make it difficult to do. I am also curious how easy or hard it is for the mous case to disengage from the Intralock mount if you just pressed one of the buttons or if it is possible for the phone to clip in on just one side if you pushed it in on an angle. I suspect you will not do any destructive testing but I would like to know how each case/mount holds up to twisting like if you were forcibly trying to remove the phone.

Will do. Basically it bounces more than Quadlock but when you’re riding you won’t notice (I only notice on camera), again with typing a little more bounce but only because I am comparing. In practice it all works great and as you would hope/expect.

I agree with the bounce, in theory you can put some foam into the gap and reduce the bounce. 😂 let’s have a look how it performs on my duc

Ohh interesting I am planning on buy a phone mount before I start riding this year was going to go for the Quadlock but will hang on to see the mouse Dom one thing I am wondering is when your using said things do you also hear the instructions or is it only by looking down at the map forgive my ignorance since I have never used one on a bike ,I currently am using an old iPhone 6 plus so maybe it won't be possible "it still works so no need to change it '' , will the mouse lock have a vibe dampener like the Quad ?

They’re very on par. Quadlock has more mount options, but 90% of mounting options is covered in the Mous mount, which comes as standard with a vibration dampener (so you don’t have to worry about ruining your camera). For me I would say the Mous case is better and easier to put on and off (if you don’t use the case when off of the bike). And for actually putting on and off the bike mount it’s also easier with Mous. For what it looks like when your phone is not clipped in, that’s subjective. They are roughly the same profile. For sat nav use; yeah you have to look down, but if you run a Sena/cardo then the instructions come spoken through that if you’re paired up via Bluetooth.

I’m a little bit skeptical regarding the lens camera. Do this mous case have the ability to protect lens camera once it’s a major issue when using a motorbike support phone? Please let me know. Thanks for the review.

Sorry how do you mean protect the lens camera? If you mean protect it physically the case offers the same protection as the Apple leather and the Quadlock. If you mean protect the lens from vibrations and messing the camera up after a ride, then that is taken care of on the bike with the vibration dampener that is built in to the mount. @@limebulls well it stops your phone breaking 😂 and I tested the hell on all roads and thousands of miles with track speeds. Size it’s prob smaller. Bounce the QL bounces less, but you’ll only notice if looking side on which you’ll never do.

@@yodomcat what would you recommend if somebody buys a whole new set? Quadlock or Mous? I have a new iPhone 14 pro max. The quadlock anti vibration locks bigger/more rugged. I have fear that the camera will be damaged. What do you recommend? (I’m going to use a mirror mount, because I have a Piaggio Beverly 350 / bv350)

@@limebulls they are the same mate. It all comes down to if you like the case more than the other, or the style of the mount when the phone is off.

I’ll only test and review honestly and can’t be bought. Also I’m testing on a motorcycle doing 150mph compared to your pushbike at 30mph. I’d say you deffo got a dud then.

@@yodomcat If you have Galaxy 23 or any heavy phone I’ll advise you to not use mous staff. The worse in all is I spoke to mous costumer service about the lack of that lock and they told me that I’m naive to believe the advertisement about mous protection. So I’m on my side to convince as many ppl I can to not buy that shitty product. Good luck men and find good service for your phone ;) my cost me £299 👍 all the best

@@yodomcat pls visit our roads in London ;) and I was on my Fuji track bike little stiff frame so if you have some motorbike couch with soft suspension that it’s not really test ;) my phone was smash so I know what I’m talking about the mous lock and case is rubbish and for sure not worth money and trust. That all in this subject.
