Really enjoyed seeing Midnight Hole and Moose Creek Falls. The water was so clear. The swimming hole looked like a lot of fun. It reminded me of childhood memories of a swimming hole we went to in the summer up in the mountains of the panhandle of West Virginia. That mountain water was always so cold. You had to submerge yourself to get acclimated to the cold mountain water.

Btw......the tiny yellow flowers you showed in the beginning of the hike are called "jewelweed". That stuff is blooming all over the park right now. Hummingbirds love it. The swimming hole looks like a ‘Tom Sawyer’ event! Clear water, huge boulders, and if that wasn’t enough - a waterfall to make it absolute perfection. Ya’ know there is a Scripture that talks about God creating things for His good pleasure. There are many things that we humans have never seen, fish in the deepest sea, waterfalls hidden in the mountain but God knows they’re there and He takes pleasure in their existence. Cool, huh?,

A couple years back, my family and I drove to the Big Creek area and looked around but didn’t get a chance to do any hiking. Wish we would have though😔. Those spots you guys hiked to are absolutely beautiful😍 Your hiking videos are definitely helpful on knowing which ones to do in The Great Smoky Mountains. That was a great hike with all that beauty including the water falls and the cold swimming hole. That water sure was clear. Those kids jumping off the rocks reminded me of when I was in high school when we would go to the quarry to jump in from high and of course the rope swing. I’m not that brave anymore! Thanks for the fun!! Always fun with SMH and it was also nice to see the behind the scenes set up. Be safe!

Oh man I remember going to Midnight Hole in July 2018 with little kids (4-10 yrs. old) and some 4 seniors. I don't recommend for either of those groups . And on top of it, it rained all the way up there. Tried to take a wagon and it broke halfway up there and had to haul everything by hand. It was a bit stressful, but we managed. Midnight Hole was so beautiful and the water was so clear. I recommend, but don't take baggage like us LOL.

If your interested in learning about wildflowers your best bet would be to get a dichotomous key book specifically for the Smoky Mountains super easy to use you just need to learn leaf shapes, leaf orientations and thing like that

At the beginning in the parking lot the wooden fence was in a pile & a muddy mess. Here is a little snippet of an article I read in the Mountaineer-Park spokesperson Dana Soehn, looked into the issue and provided the following response. “The Big Creek area has experienced 52 percent higher visitation this June in comparison to June of 2019. Overall, the park experienced the highest June visitation on record,” she noted. “Parking has been extremely congested. Unfortunately, visitors have damaged the split rail fence by pushing the boundaries to park on road shoulders and green space. By parking in these areas, the non-durable surfaces have been left rutted and muddy.” Exciting, I haven't been down this trail. I have heard soo much about it. Look at Dawn, all happy & silly! Wow, the falls is putting out a good amount of water! When you were at Midnight Hole, I was hoping you wouldn't jump off those boulders. I'm sure you get a rush or whatever, but seems dangerous and have read stories of people not making it out of Midnight Hole. Thanks for this video, you made it look easy peasy!

Mouse Creek Falls was wonderful! Even tho the falls were on the other side of the river, they were just gorgeous. And the walk back to Midnight Hole was awesome, too. The little falls at the back was great. It was so clear. It’s amazing that the water can stay so clean. Even Will and Dawn got to swim in it. And saw a fish, too. It was really great to see all of the equipment that you take for videoing. Fantastic video. And great to see Smoky Mountain Hiker was along on the hike, too. One thing tho. I hear this quite a bit. Will, there is no such word as “tooking”. The word is “taken”. I’m going to have to call the word police if this continues, lol. Just kidding about the police. Take care.🙂😉
