How do you get the bar/dumbbell up to the shoulder in the first place?

Grab with two hands and pu it in place. But if ya want a fun challenge, 1-arm clean.

When you say you should be able to get your OHP #'s bent pressed, do you mean 1/2 your OHP #'s (since youre using half the arms...) I got 185# OHP and after practicing the Bent Press consistently for the last 4 mo. I'm still struggling to stabilize 50# KB in the press. Many thanks for all the great content ~

What can you press with one hand? The bent press should be a lot more. Take the barbell press out of the equation. It has nothing to do with this.

@@dowapbambutt One handed pressing is a very beneficial exploration. I'd recommend eventually working up to a circus dumbbell.
