People ask me what I do when I'm at the Gym. I tell them I'm an entertainer for bachelorette parties. Then I tell them I'm just kidding. I'm an athletic artist.

I like the term athletic artist, that's the first I've heard it. I often called myself a movement artist but I think its a term that would be less well understood compared to athletic artist.

Thank you fellow Artist. I think they are both great and pretty much synonymous, but the word athletic contextualizes having to behave within a set of rules as opposed to being an all out savage, which I would prefer. Kudos on your content btw. It is fantastic. @@moversodyssey

intelligent explain i think future sport would combine movement p.s. u think swimmming is movement too ?
@moversodyssey7 жыл бұрын
Absolutely, aquatic movement is a whole area of movement all to itself. I'm afraid I don't practice much of it or know much about it, but I have utilized water training in order to practice body positioning for aerial movements and also to rehab from injury. And I'm sure thats only the tip of the iceberg in terms of whats possible with aquatic movement.

You still didnt get the video. Movement is all about -> Not having a strict "training plan". Just be a child Rolling on the floor for hours is movement too. EVERYTHING is movement.

i really like your art, your narration, and the whole format you've created. really good stuff. i was interested to know what this was. it was a great explanation of something to me that seems pretty dumb, and pretty typical of westerners in the 21st century forgetting all about past wisdom. i mean any of a multitude of ancient systems cover most of what this new so-called amalgamation of all forms of movement training claims to have invented. a reinvention of the wheel imo
@moversodyssey6 жыл бұрын
Seems every culture and every generation must find these things anew and rebrand it to fit with the times. I've studied a lot of ancient and modern movement paradigms and as far as I can tell its true, none of this is new. Western athletic culture is experiencing a renaissance, a return to more natural ways. And if you can ignore some of the larger ego's in the industry and their claims of origination, the cultural fitness movement is a very necessary and beautiful thing. We watch the west mature before our very eyes, the unfolding of fitness history my friend :)
