This short, gentle practice calms you down, de-stresses you and prepares you for a great night sleep. We stay close to the ground, to release and stretch out the worries and stresses of the day.
Releasing tensions in the neck and shoulders and hips is a proven way to relax the whole body. Long deep breathing emphasising a long breath out is clinically proven to reduce levels of the stress hormone cortisol, and lowers your heart rate ready for bed.
Lying on the ground helps the body to naturally unwind from sitting down all day, and returns your spine to a more neutral position ready for sleep.
Grab a couple of cushions, turn the lights down low and get your pj's on! You'll be ready to slide into bed straight after 😊 😴
