This gentle sequence draws from Qigong, Tai Chi, and simple Yoga to help release and relieve back pain. We start standing with gentle movements but finish relaxing on the floor. Make sure you have a couple of comfy cushions for the end!
We work to stretch, lengthen and release muscles in the side body and lower back that can be chronically tight and tense. Both qigong and yoga have great tools to help relax and bring ease to your back. I had a long history of chronic back pain myself, so many of these movements are things I use to keep my back happy and healthy.
If you have a herniated (slipped) disc, I strongly urge you to consult with your medical practitioner before taking this class, so they can guide you as to what movements are helpful or unhelpful for your specific issue.

I am suffering from lower back pain for more than two weeks. This practiced eased the tension a little. I will repeat this everyday until I week comfortable. Thank you James🙏🙏

Hi James! I found you a few weeks ago and did this practice. I have facet joint arthritis, previous disc prolapses & rheumatoid arthritis and have been getting more pain & stiffness in the mornings, recently. I did this session and Whoa! It was amazing!😃 I thought I’d try it again this morning and Whoa! Again 😂 My mind is blown, quite frankly! So, thank you thank you thank you 😁🙏🙏🌸

So great to start off the morning with this gentle yet very healing practice. My left QL is the bane of my life and this has gently released it. You have reminded me that it's ok to not over do xo

Very healing and relaxing. I had what felt like a pulled muscle in the right lower back. It felt so much better before I went to bed. I would recommend this wonderful practice before sleep. Thanks James.
