"Yes, yes... I've got to get home to that good pie!" Is one of the best line deliveries ever.

as a kid, i’ve watched this movie so many times, that the vhs tape got ruined 😅 that iconic red dress with a hat in the beginning and “pump up the volume” on a soundtrack still lives rent free in my mind 💜

Omg, this brings back memories. I was on holiday at my mom's friend's house, and this one of the two VHS tapes they had, so we watched this a lot with the daughter. I didn't watch since. No one ever talks about this movie. The other VHS tape was Kenneth Branagh Frankenstein. They had quite a collection 😂

I have to admit that I am Team Avaryl when we are talking about Seth Green. I had the biggest crush on him in my teens in the late 90s. Would watch anything he appeared in. And was obsessed with him as Scott Evil. 😍

I love that you’re covering this 💘 as a Buffy nerd I watched this during my Alyson Hannigan obsession years, so the nostalgia is strong with this one

This is something I found an IMDB. What a truly different movie this would have been. My Stepmother Is an Alien (1988) Original writer Jerico Stone saw the story as a dark allegory about child abuse. That was how it was pitched to Paramount in 1981. Obviously, that version was never made.

Next time Andrew doesn’t know who Scott Bakula is Avaryl needs to say he was the daddy in Looking who hooked up with Dom

We used to watch this movie all the time when I was a kid! My parents made a 'closer to G rated version' though, and I didn't see the full version til I was older. Still love it and we often quote the 'good pie' line when making excuses to leave somewhere!

I’ll assume the fact that the voice actress was never mentioned was a choice but in that hypothetical Richard Benjamin biography, the pages spent on this movie would be awkward and uncomfortable for he and his wife. How could he avoid mentioning what his sister-in-law later did against him given her role in the film?
