At 24, I had just left my abusive boyfriend right before Christmas, after he started threatening to hit me and cheated on me with his ex. I spent the holidays by myself that year too. The lyrics perfectly capture what was going through my mind those years, if I'd ever have someone who loved me to spend the holidays with again (my family is all deceased/estranged). Now at 28 I have a supportive husband who loves me and I finally feel like we have our own little family, but I will always remember those hard candy Christmases and appreciate what I have now. Love Dolly. This is my favourite Christmas song (and it isn't even about Christmas)

I ordered the soundtrack from Amazon with this song version on it

@@augustinesanchez3361 The soundtrack version is just Dolly singing. The movie version has never been issued on an album, as far as I know.

Lyrics: Hey, maybe I'll dye my hair Maybe I'll move somewhere Maybe I'll get a car Maybe I'll drive so far they'll all lose track Me, I'll bounce right back Maybe I'll sleep real late Maybe I'll lose some weight Maybe I'll clear my junk Maybe I'll just get drunk on apple wine Me, I'll be just Fine and dandy Lord, it's like a hard candy Christmas I'm barely getting through tomorrow But still I won't let Sorrow bring me way down. I'll be fine and dandy Lord, it's like a hard candy Christmas I'm barely getting through tomorrow But still I won't let Sorrow bring me way down. Hey, maybe I'll learn to sew Hey, maybe I'll just lie low Maybe I'll hit the bars Maybe I'll count the stars until dawn Me, I will go on Maybe I'll settle down Maybe I'll just leave town Maybe I'll have some fun Maybe I'll meet someone and make him mine Me, I'll be just Fine and dandy Lord, it's like a hard candy Christmas I'm barely getting through tomorrow But still I won't let Sorrow bring me way down. - I'll be fine and dandy - Lord, it's like a hard candy Christmas I'm barely getting through tomorrow But still I won't let Sorrow bring me way down. ~ I'll be fine and dandy ~ Lord, it's like a hard candy Christmas I'm barely getting through tomorrow But still I won't let Sorrow bring me way down. *last goodbyes* I'll be fine ~ I'll be fine ~ ~ I'll be fine.

Oh Dolly without your music I could never emote what I truly feel. You have such a gift. I saw you in 2016 and it might have been the best day of my life. My son saw you through the womb. I played all your music when pregnant, now he loves you too😍
