FILM DESCRIPTION:
In Steven Spielberg's massive blockbuster, paleontologists Alan Grant (Sam Neill) and Ellie Sattler (Laura Dern) and mathematician Ian Malcolm (Jeff Goldblum) are among a select group chosen to tour an island theme park populated by dinosaurs created from prehistoric DNA. While the park's mastermind, billionaire John Hammond (Richard Attenborough), assures everyone that the facility is safe, they find out otherwise when various ferocious predators break free and go on the hunt.

In the book, the way Nedry was eaten by the Dilopasaurus was more gruesome. His stomach w a s torn open as the Dilopasaurus slowly ate him. A gruesome way to go.

2:14 Fun fact: The spit the Dilophosaurus spat on Nedry was actually venom. The moment it spit it's venom on his raincoat and he touched it, it started burning through his skin slowly - and when it spat it on him again, it landed on his eyes possibly blinding him but he actually doesn't go blind since the venom in this movie takes a while to burn through skin and flesh.

Here's another fun fact: In real life, there is no evidence that the Dilophosaurus was capable of spitting venom, or that it had a neck frill. Steven Spielberg had those features added to the dinosaur in the movie to further differentiate it from the Velociraptors.

I have a theory: after the 1994 cleanup when his remains were discovered, Ingen decided not to tell his family about what happened to him since they were already in an unstable financial situation after having to pay wrongful death settlements to the families of Donald Gennaro, John “Ray” Arnold and Robert Muldoon. But after the san Diego incident, the UN ordered Ingen to release all of their findings of the 1994 cleanup and his family learned the truth about what happened to him. And when they did learn the truth about his death, they demanded that Ingen pay wrongful death compensation for his death but Ingen refused sighting that he was the one responsible for the incident at the park and stole valuable embryos from them in order the sell them off to a rival corporation. And of course they argued that even though he was responsible for the incident at the park and stole the embryos, that the dinosaurs were their creations and they were responsible for them and they knew the dangers that came with bringing them back to life but they didn’t care or listen and they were just in it for the money. And so, they sued Ingen for both wrongful death and criminal negligence and eventually in May of 1999, 2 years after the San Diego incident and 6 years after his death, his family was awarded 10 million dollars in wrongful death settlement.

This scene, does have a similar visual comparing from the book it said " the soft hooting from an owl, and he "Dennis felt the foam of poison from the dinosaur (diloposaurus) spit", although from the book he felt his organs from his stomach out but that was to violent so instead the Diloposaurus eaten him alive in the jeep, and the embryo gone in the mud scene, was not added in the book as well.

Re-watching this movie years later, I started analyzing Nedry's death more than I probably should have. Twice in this movie, he bragged about having timed his run from the headquarters to the docks. But he clearly forgot to account for two things during those trial runs: he was most likely doing them in clear weather (there was a hurricane during this scene, making it hard to see), and he was obviously doing them under no threat of attack (the dinosaurs were still caged). Therefore, he was making his official getaway assuming the best-case-scenario. Had he accounted for bad weather, plus the fact that dangerous dinos could potentially be on the road, he might have been more careful. Instead, his arrogant greediness led to him being killed by the very creatures he let loose. Again, possibly over-analyzing.
