The most frightening thing about this scene is one has to wonder how terrible Joker's crimes were in this universe for him to not only be locked in Arkham. Not only locked behind a glass cell to talk to Batman but also to be handcuffed on top of all of that. I mean we see how terrifying Riddler is here, I don't wanna even imagine the brutality of this Joker. His voice is so soft here which shows his manipulative nature of sounding so calm and toned back when you know his violence is just waiting to be unleashed. Also I would like to point out something that gives chills down my spine as well. This Joker is so good at reading Batman even though he is wearing a mask and staying (trying anyways) as calm as possible so if he can read a vigilante with his identity hidden so well just imagine how quickly he can read everyone else.

And in Saltburn, man, he killed it. I was speechles with his acting. He absolutely scared me. I believe if there's anyone who can become Ledger's successor as the Joker that's Barry Keoghan, just like with Robert Pattinson, he's perfect to be considered Bale's succesor as Batman. They are for the 2020's what Bale and Ledger were in the 2000's.

I actually think this silence of lambs style scenes between these two should become a recurring thing in future movies, less is more, his character has a menacing and twisted enough presence in this setting, it’s perfect
@boratsagdiyev1612 жыл бұрын
I agree. Although he is sat behind that glass & chained you still get the impression that no matter who else were to be in the room with him, he would still be the most dangerous one there. The way he doesn't fully read the case files but understands who the killer is shows his level of intelligence whilst still coming across as manic & unhinged & seeing him like this is still enough to be a menacing character who could help batman's progression with understanding the criminally insane mind before coming face to face outside the asylum.
@spedwellz23912 жыл бұрын
On my second watch I noticed he skimmed through the files, instead of chalking it up to pacing in the scene I had an inkling it was a way of illustrating his intellect without straight up telling us, good observation dude Even behind glass he will always be the biggest threat through pure manipulation, key example would have to the way he charms riddler at the end of the movie, manic and unhinges but very calculated

As a longtime Batman fan I would rather see them use some other Batman villains they haven't used in the movies before in the sequels and give the Joker a well deserved rest. Batman has some of the best villains in comics but a lot of them have been used on screen 'cause Warner Bros keep using the Joker over and over and over and over again much like Lex Luthor in the Superman movies. Heck, they have already made a Joker solo movie and there is a possible sequel on the way. Let Batman face some other villains for a change like Clayface, Solomon Grundy, Mr Freeze, Lady Shiva, Poison Ivy, Hush, Hugo Strange, Deathstroke, Killer Croc, Man Bat, Maxie Zeus, Mad Hatter, Killer Moth, Anarky, Great White Shark, The Ventriloquist etc etc etc. A Batman Horror movie with some of the Horror villains would be awesome and terrifying.

Really wished they included this in the film, and not make a deleted scene but there's no flaw in this film at all. They nailed it. Just wished they put this as a bonus. By far the greatest Batman movie ever, and by far the most realistic and modern one as well. If I were to rank this, it would definitely be ranked first out of all of them. Going to keep things short and simple, and not try to spoil it for anyone that hasn't watched it yet as it only came out this year but I watched this on Christmas and fully on the 26th just like every year when my brother and I pick out a movie to watch on Christmas since its always been a tradition of ours. Like this is honestly such a masterpiece, there's no flaw with it. It's the most realistic version of the actual storyline version of Batman that they were able to portray properly, realistic, and accurately. The movie literally tells us the actual story of "Batman"/"Bruce" storyline from how it began and how his legacy started out as well as grew from a very different perspective in comparison to all the other Batman movies. Like even the cast were amazing, especially Pattinson where he successfully managed to depict both Bruce as well as Batman perfectly well, same thing with the rest of the cast, like Carmine who was played so well, same thing with Catwoman especially the riddler. Even the Batman and Commissioner duo was amazing, and one to watch. Goodcop, and batcop. Such an amazing soundtrack, a perfect, realistic, modern storyline that fits in with today and isn't overreached, or unrealistic, great cast with amazing potrayls of there characters that had no flaw, great effects, and emotion. Like you would always be on edge, and on your seat thinking as well as wondering what was going to happen next. You were literally focused on the movie at all times, esepcially with the amazing detail of the storyline that they nailed, and the attention in detail. Its literally a masterpiece and such an unforgettable movie, theres honestly no flaw with it and is one of my most favorite movies that I've ever watched on Christmas with my twin brother who never fails with his picks. Truly worth it, as well as a must watch if you wish to understand it or to see for yourself. Honestly can't wait for its sequel, trilogy if there's going to be one, and the future of this Batman. It's the best version of Batman as well as the most realistic Batman yet. One that isn't over the top, overreached and is just like the rest of us - having emotion, a past etc. - 12.26.2022

Looking back, this Joker is actually very smart. He accurately profiled the Riddlers off of the file, so he knows a lot about Riddler before he comes to Arkham
@digitalpayne82872 жыл бұрын
Dude, yes. Yes yes yes. PLEASE give me more of this dude in the next movie! Like other have mentioned, totally understand why they cut this scene. The bit at the end with him chatting with Riddler got everyone buzzin, and that definitely wouldn't have had the same impact, had they kept this scene in.

I think he will clean up as he breaks out of Arkham and on the outside he has sizeable amount of cash stored in deposit boxes of several mob banks. He has access different accounts under made up identities of names of the arkham warden and the orderlies. Hence money is no issue when it comes to lavish wardrobe of expense suits. The suits, mostly purple and some burgundy reds, gives him an element of levity to his alter ego persona that has developed trading jokes and riddles from his cell. "The suit! It wasn't cheap! "You oughta know, you bought it! "

I think having Scarecrow ,Man-bat or Hush as the main villain would be great for the second movie, I do love that they started this with Riddler seeing as he's probably the easiest character to portray in a realistic setting, as soon as we move into the pure mutants and supernatural enemies such as Croc or R'as I think the whole tone of the series will shift greatly from what we had in this film. (I wouldn't count Man-Bat as a pure mutant because he loses the human sentience when he turns, so in my eyes would avoid the suspension of disbelief much better than other mutants)

Love this movie to death as it's the BEST batman movie, It never stopped feeling like a comic book throughout it’s runtime and felt like watching Batman: The Animated Series BEAUTIFULLY brought to life in Live-action with it's gorgeous Art Direction and aesthetics! I abosutely love how for most of the scene the Joker is joking around with Batman, saying stuff like "first anniversary is...paperssss" or "Maybe he's a fan of your's?", up until 3:10, where until that point the music was somewhat calm, but very eery, then all of a sudden the low bass comes in and ramps up the eeryness as soon as the Joker shifts the conversation to a serious one with "Or maybe he's got grudge against you too...maybe your the main course" all with a smile. Just a genius way to add suspense, very well done. Sucks that it wasn't in the movie, but I'm glad it's here to watch.

Barry looks very promising as the Joker here, but the character as a whole feels a little overused.
