But both female leads get away with way too much while trying to hold others accountable. It's a realistic portrayal of the metoo multiple standards. One standard for men with power (the accused) Another standard for women with power (the enablers scrambling to protect themselves) Another standard for men without power (being unfairly labelled due to gender) Another standard for women without power (seemingly having the right to accuse without consequences, but in reality facing an even steeper uphill battle due to the metoo backlash) Metoo failed because it did not address the role women played in the incidents and the cover ups. Hopefully the maxwell verdict will change this.

Just watched all 10 episodes of season 1. Was on the fence about it at first but by episode 4 was hooked. Very powerful!! Good work by everyone involved. Is it perfect? No. My biggest problem was the scene where Billy Crudup and Anniston sang a duet to Stephen Sondheim's "Not while I'm around " with obviously dubbed voices. Corny, unbelievable and fake. But aside from tonal missteps i thought the writing showed insight and sensitivity and a real attempt at trying to show the complexity of human behaviour. The last epidode was a little over the top but still effective. Can't wait for season 2 if indeed it ever gets filmed what with all our problems with the coronavirus quarantine issues.

(No spoilers brief) If you haven’t started yet... if you like watching Jennifer anniston doing urghh, urghhhhhh, me, I am, delivering dialogues with tight angry lips, frustrated, angry, and full blown soap drama then you are in for a treat. If you like to watch an 1 hr of apple ad, where they directly do product placements, subconsciously advertise the apple ecosystem for an hour then you are in for a treat. If you like slow paced dramas, where a simple scene gets lagged and stretched into a 5 mins scene with no artistic or dramatic compulsion or any demand from the storyline, then you are in for a treat. If you like listening to your wife complaining on and on about minor things, then this is really lit. If you complain a lot and think that entire world revolves around you, you will love this show. Lastly, if you are delusional in filling some scene gaps in your mind with your basic understanding of metaphysics, philosophy, human relationships, order and chaotic theories and think its a sign of intelligence you will enjoy this thoroughly and can even start writing reviews on critic sites. If you are like Nero, and like to play the violin while watching the world burn you can watch this for research purposes and to laugh at also. :)

@@senoJSR LOL... go take a nap. It sounds like you're too old for the internet anyways. Says a lot that you can't be happy for women having powerful roles.

@@lizzie354 powerful roles? Looks like 2 people back-stabbing each other, how is that a tour de force or anything resembling academy calibur acting? Jennifer Aniston has never earned her spot on the hollywood A list. She's only in the industry beause her father got her into the biz. Not to mention a show about the "industry" is so boring and self-celebrating that it only deserves vomit and lots of it. The vitriol this thing receives has nothing to do with women and everything to do with it being shit.

John Salo Jen is a great actress, even if her dad is in show biz it still took her a lot of work to get where she is Not only to did portray amazing talent in her comedic timing n her dramatic acting n her facial expressions n her ability to change emotions so quickly n make it believable n how her body language is always on point, has only been getting better and better She has also has shown talent in her movies: cake, the morning show, good girl, horrible bosses, along with Polly, were the millers, derailed n more showing that she can play different roles but she prefers romcoms n all of her roles she played she perfected it

Wait...do you like the show? The term "this show blows" can be taken as fairly negative. I'm just wondering 😅

Great great great!!!! I had never seen Jennifer or Reese act before but this show is intense and well written. Basically the Matt Lauer story, people need to wake up to the evils of the TV industry.
