The books often portray one of Harry's favorite pastimes as using his invisibility cloak to sneak into the forbidden section of the library after curfew for his investigations regarding Voltemort. While the movies portray Hermonine as the studious one , it's actually Harry who does the most research and is portaryed as a genuis. The evenings scenes of Harry sneaking around after curfew, it is likely he's just left the library.

@davidfairweather33017 ай бұрын
I go back and forth about how I feel about this reboot. I feel like a TV show reboot would be justified in the case of the movies being straight up garbage, or them not finishing the story. For example, the Percy Jackson reboot makes sense since I think Percy Jackson fans did deserve a decent on screen adaptation. But with all the potential stories we could have being made into a TV show/movie, we’re getting the same story again so it’s more “book accurate” - The thing is that you will never be able to translate stories in a book to TV perfectly. They’re two separate forms of media. Also with all the nostalgia that’s attached to the movies, and how iconic certain characters became because of the actors…is it going to work seeing it done again years later with new actors. It does feel pointless in a way.
@allanorme20937 ай бұрын
@@davidfairweather3301 I feel it could be better animated, so they can just replace kid actors when they outgrow kind of like TAWOG for example. I remember they cut Crabbe in the last 2 movies cause his actor became kindoff a criminal
@davidfairweather33017 ай бұрын
@@allanorme2093Yeh the actor for Crabbe ended up being arrested for growing cannabis in his house, and then arrested for his involvement in the London riots. The riot arrest is tricky cos everyone was going crazy. It occurred after Mark Duggan was killed by police and people believed he was unarmed and killed unjustly, but then the protests turned into everyone just destroying public property and stealing.
@toddjackson31367 ай бұрын
@davidfairweather3301 it also scares me because the TV adaptations have been so hit and miss. Percy Jackson was pretty good. Ring of Power took heart beats from the source material but then ran sideways with it leaving the source material behind. If you look past the fact it did Tolkiens work dirty it's actually an entertaining show. (I struggle to watch it though because it reminds me of the potential it could have been.) Wheel of Time takes too much source material and tries to cram it into too few episodes while forgetting to write a coherent storyline. It has created so many plot holes it's Swiss cheese. But we fans eat it just for the sake of consuming anything that vaguely resembles our beloved fantasy stories. And that's the real tragedy, studios know they have a built in consumer base for these franchises that will watch even if it's not great. They are almost guaranteed to not fail even if they are more fanfiction than source material. I HOPE the adaptation for HP will be good. I'm crossing fingers and knocking on wood! But I won't be suprised if it isn't.

Another one OR two things: Harry and Ginny have 2 VERY MATURE heart-to-heart conversations in Harry's 5th year: One in Grimmauld Place during Christmas where Ginny reminds Harry of her past experience being possessed by Voldemort (or Tom Riddle from the Diary), and another conversation in the Hogwarts library (probably MY FAVORITE moment between Harry and Ginny) when Harry is desperate to talk to Sirius, Ginny encourages Harry to do so based on her time growing up with Fred and George, and that HILARIOUS ENDING where Madame Pince yells at both of them not to eat Mrs. Weasley's chocolate Easter eggs in the library before enchanting Harry and Ginny's possessions (books, bags, and/or whatever else) to chase them both out of the library! A few more mentions: 1. 2 ministry workers resigned in protest to Fudge’s ridiculous campaign against Dumbledore. 2. Levicorpus is actually a non-verbal spell that Snape has created, and that’s what made him snap at Harry, and admit to his identity as the half blood prince. 3. After the basilisk got blinded, he tracked Harry by smelling him, not by hearing him. 4. Ron made some very dumb excuses in denial of who “Scabbers” actually is.

There was an entire sequence that was left out in the Deathly Hallows Part 2: After Voldemort had struck Harry with the killing curse, Hagrid had carried Harry all the way to the Hogwarts in his arms from the Forbidden Forest; in which is when Voldemort gave his speech and Neville stepped forward holding the *Sorting Hat* (not the sword); when Nagini lunged forward Neville pulled out Godric Gryffyndor's sword from the Sorting Hat and killed Nagini then (not later on like in the movie); and at that very instance Harry rolled out of Hagrid's arms while simultaneously placed the Invisibility Cloak over himself making it look like he disappeared or Aparated, and Harry disappearing is what officially started the battle (not the utter defiance and Voldemort choosing to act).

once Voldemort had displayed dead Harry in Hagrid’s arms, for everyone to see, he ordered Hagrid to lay Harry on the ground, so he, Voldemort, would have everyone’s attention… then , when everyone’s attention went to Neville’s burning hat, Gawp arriving and villagers invading, Harry quickly covered himself with the invisibility cloak and then to protect Neville , he sent a shield charm , while Neville grab the sword from the hat and killed the last horcrux…. it’s all so exciting in the book , showing more depth to their character…they really have no need to add extra drama, just use what is already there..

1. Percy wrote a letter to Ron during OotP, advising him to drop Harry as a friend. 2. During the Battle of Hogwarts, the house elves, led by Kreacher, used kitchen knives to stab Death Eaters' ankles. 3. (can't remember if you did put this, but Imma include it just in case you didn't) Harry's wand was the one used to cast the Dark Mark in GoF.

Hello MovieFlame. I wanted to say that I really liked your previous video, especially as I'm reading the books for the first time and I'm nearly halfway through the sixth book. These videos and me reading the book could clear many plotholes the movies had Edit: The books also show how much more competent, smart and skilled Ron was, as he had a little of the things that defined his siblings, making him my favorite character out of the trio. But the movies made him look like an incompetent idiot who paled in comparison to the all-knowing Hermione, despite the logical fact that Ron had more experience among wizards than Hermione, who was from the Muggle world

i love mcgonagall helping peeves in the 5th book. when she found peeves unscrewing the chandelier, instead of stopping him, she told him to unscrew it the other way. and she definitely lended peeves her walking stick to chase umbridge with it. when umbridge told harry that he will never be an auror, mcgonagall screamed at her and told harry she's willing to assist him to be an auror if it's the last thing she'll ever do.

One of the fun scenes they completely left out of the fifth movie, was Professor McGonagall finding Peeves trying to unscrew a chandeller. Instead of getting him in trouble, McGonagall simply smiles slightly, saying 'it goes the other way'! ^^
@joannamyers12685 ай бұрын
I loved that so much! I also loved how much McGonagall, and the other teachers as well, were masters of malicious compliance during Umbridge's reign. Something disturbs the classroom, even though McGonagall could easily handle it herself, she's like, "Dear, dear, go and tell Umbridge something is disturbing my classroom," and then just sit back and let her and Filch struggle with it. 😂

@@_MajuniorWhen watching the goblet of fire I always feel it looks “ugly” to watch. I think it’s a mix of the overall visuals and the fact all of them didn’t get a haircut. I think a part that was done great was the score, especially when Voldemort and Harry’s wands connect. The visuals and the score is so good

The Hepzibah Smith memory should have definitely been in the movie since it’s how Harry learns Hufflepuff’s Cup is one of the horcruxes he needs to find along with one of the horcruxes possibly being an item from Ravenclaw.

@@aliamezgar1489 What do you mean, then? To me it sounds as though you’re trying to explain his reasons for why he did what he did. I understand his reasoning…but it’s just not good enough for me 🤷♀️ I have stage lV cancer on top of a number of other difficulties and I haven’t chosen to go out inflicting pain on others. Our choices make us who we are. That’s why Snape is a grey character; he makes a lot of really bad choices and is honestly not a good person…but he’s not fully bad either because he makes good choices too that have a massive ripple effect. But for me, his good choices do not outweigh his bad choices. In the end, he only turned to the good side for revenge (and some repentance in the case of Lily and his guilt in her death.) I think he’s a great literary character…but I also absolutely hate him and think he has very few good qualities.

I don’t think that Snape was the full reason why Harry was an orphan, it was Voldemort that chose Harry and his parents. Over Neville and his parents, also Peter was the one purposely gave. The Potter’s location up to Voldemort and Sirius making Peter, the Secret keeper instead which what cause the event to happen.
@Kelseyalicia7 ай бұрын
Snape was the caystalist bye TELLING VOLDERMORT in the first place. Something or someone has to be the catlyse. Snape is the catylist therefore the dimons fell over because he start it. Neither Harry or Neville would've been in danger if Snape hadn't been eveasedropping. So YES he was the one who started the chain of events by listening to the conversation and telling Tom it. So yes hold him accountablity for being the cantaslit. None of it would've happened if Snape hadn't been the one to tell him in the first place! Or if he hadn't been stupid enough to join the Death Eaters for that matter.
