It’s a shame as I enjoy the Wizarding world and my sister said she wasn’t going to play Hogwarts Legacy because of Rowling’s statements. Me? I’m playing the game (when it comes out on PS4) because I want to see how things were in the 1800’s! Besides I don’t associate the art with the artist’s beliefs. (Though I’ll be amazed if someone asked if she actually took a peak at the Cursed Child before saying it should be canon especially with what she said about time turners and why she destroyed them)

I watched the first FB thinking I would see a Nick Fury type scene with Dumbledore at the end,but come the second movie and it was just a glorified filler tv episode with a 6 minutes scene of the most popular Harry Potter legacy character plus many plotholes and while the 3rd tries to fix many things it became mediocre while the movie needed to be at least good.

I wish the first movie had been an independent film apart from its later installments. The story of Dumbledore and Grindelwald should have been a different trilogy than Fantastic Beasts, focusing more on dumbledore. What a loss for all fans, including me. It had so much potential.

Absolutely. Mixing Americans, American muggles and a bookworm was a terrible decision. Grindlewald story should be a passionate violent affair, rated 15 - the animals and the before mentioned characters just detracts from what could be one of the best plots. Also, Johnny portrayed sacrifice, pain, love and anger. We didn’t get that with Mads, just a normal psychopathic villain.

And the next one about the past life between them and the blood pact. 4th movie should be about the havocs grinderwald created and the hero squad trying to find a way to stop him. 5th movie them executing the plans in order and defeating him

The reason it failed was because it didn't know what it wanted to be. If you want to make a prequel about Dumbledore and Grindelwald, make it about that and nothing else. If you want to make it about Newt and his Fantastic Beasts, make it about him and his beasts and nothing else, similar to what happened to The Hobbit Trilogy, which should not have been a trilogy.

Exactly. I loved Newt and the gang and I enjoyed the first movie. But the Dumbledore and Grindelwald story absolutely didn't do it for me. And unpopular opinion: I was never a fan of casting Depp (completely unrelated to the abuse stuff btw). So the movies lost me with the second movie and thus I didn't bother to watch the third. I might have enjoyed the Grindelwald story if it didn't start off with the Phantastic beasts story but rather it being more separated.

My only real problem with the fantastic beast movies is that the magic just seems even more inconsistent then the original books were. I can not speak for everyone but for me the Cursed Child also played a role. After spending money for it which I considered in hindsight wasted I went in the series thinking: "Am I making the same mistake twice, falling for the next cash grab?" and reacted to canon mistakes like McGonagalls appearance a lot harsher than I normally would.

This really sucks. Crimes of Grindelwald is actually my favorite of the three despite its flaws. It's the only one that felt like a Harry Potter movie and in terms of lore it was awesome to see that stuff play out. I don't even mind the long flashback. Not their fault that nobody has an attention span today. That was one of my favorite scenes. I hope the plan is to end the "Fantastic Beasts" branding, and that in a few years they come out with a standalone movie of Dumbledore vs Grindelwald.

I don't see why that would be necessary, especially when you realize that Secrets of Dumbledore only bombed because Johnny Depp wasn't in it. Newt Scamander's specific personality and skill set, and yes, the fantastic beasts, are still necessary for the story. You would have to completely rewrite Crimes of Grindelwald and Secrets of Dumbledore in order to remove those elements and still tell the same stories. I don't think the complaints that the fantastic beasts and Newt are no longer the focus of the story and that they should be removed are valid.

TO: @@MasterMonix ... RE: type cast so, if you "see" where I am coming from you understand that ~ 1) sometimes the part makes the actor & sometimes the actor creates a character. 4EX: Johnny Depp ~ he ~ he can create a character, even though he is not particularly great with dialogue vs. someone like Alan Rickman who was extraordinarily great with dialogue where he demands listening to with every syllable. In this case, the part was so well written by JK that any not incompetent typecast child who looked the part could play the part of Harry Potter. Dan, Mr. Radcliffe was typecast as a bright eyed little boy for which he was natural; he was indeed a bright eyed little boy with an emphasis on little. This started to show in the third film in addition to the fact that we could see that he trying to act and you could see it ~ you could see the techniques that he was using. BTW... he, Mr. Radcliffe himself tells us that this is true. . 2) For me and a "few" others that I've discussed the point, Daniel's "shortcomings" came to a head in the scene where Harry goes to the court yard to reveal to Cedric that the first task is about facing a dragon. As he approaches Cedric he is “stomping” (great acting technique~barf) through the colonnade and he bumps into Ron and boom ~ all suspension of belief is lost ~ Harry is not there ~ no longer a little boy ~ little adolescent Daniel Radcliffe is there showing the world that he was no longer little Harry Potter because Harry Potter is not suppose to be so little at this point. Harry Potter is suppose to be somewhere between 5'11” and 6'1”. Rupert Grint's intensity, Ron next to Dan showed just exactly what a “gitt” that Radcliffe is by comparison. The Harry “stomps over” (great acting~barf) to talk to Cedric and Cedric stands up to his full height and reveals the real Dan, “little” Dan ~ you know, Radcliffe in the naked without a camera angle to help his acting. Instead of a teenager, he looked and acted like a little boy. The fact is that Daniel cannot emote things from his being that are not inside his being. Sadly Radcliffe's insides, like his outsides never grew and he was doomed to spend the rest of the films, acting, acting the part of Harry Potter instead of being Harry Potter. . 3) From that point forward, the movies were ruined for me and ruined for those “few” of whom I have made mention. :( But … but, but, but … by then, we've read and RE-read the books several times. Hence, we all wanted to see what Hollywood could do; therefore we supported the movies in spite of the fact that Radcliffe stunk the movies up to the highest heaven. Emma Watson also suffers from the delusion that she is an actress when in fact her weaknesses and immaturity began to show in the same film on the stairs after the dance (but that's another story.) Only one of the “big three” maintained a consistent character and growth throughout the films ~ Rupert. IOW... although there were quite a number of standout performances ~ compared to the material they had to work with, the films were not particularly well done ~ and the main culprit is Daniel Radcliffe, the producers, and the directors. Nevertheless, the films were great because JK's writing and vision was so very very great that no matter who played the parts or who directed the movies ~ they were going to be a success. Some things were great ~ the crew ~ the CGI, the props, the costumes and etc. They were half the movies. Nevertheless, the only one that I can think of that made a huge contribution, a huge difference to the movies that wasn't already in the books by JK was ~ John Williams. Composer Maestro Williams, in my humble opinion is responsible for half of the success of the movies. . Here's my parting words about Radcliffe. Let's take a look at his most notable parts. . ~ “Equus” ~ he is “affectionate” with a horse. When he asked the director for advice about what to do he was told ~ Go - - - - the horse … so he reached deep into the depths of his soul and did what the director directed. ~ “Kill Your Darlings” … once again, he looked like a little child next to DeHaan ~ who won an award for his performance. Here, Radcliffe shows his depth of acting prowess by filming his famous “backdoor” scene. ~ “Imperium” ~ a RE-inactment of the scene with Cedric where this time as an FBI agent, he stands toe to toe with neo-Nazi and looks like the juvinille that he still is. ~ “Swiss Army Man” … an updated version of “Week-end at Bernie's”. As a half dead ~ dead person he plays his best part to date. ~ Radcliffe was in a little movie “Now You See Me 2” with Michael Caine. Radcliffe said that when he grows up he wants to be like Michael Caine. That's a joke … That's never going to happen … Here's what Caine said to Radcliffe in the movie. WM: Dad, I promise you I will fix this. AT: You can't. Stop calling me dad. There were so many women, I have no idea whose bastard you are. Once again, Radcliffe looked and acted like what he really is ~ a celebrity. He's not an actor. He is a celebrity ~ not because of any personal talent, but because of the genius of JK ~ and nothing else. . So … You said, “I can see where you are coming from.” So … I've explained “a little” of where I am coming from. I have not explained how great an actor Edward John David Redmayne really is ~ but he does have an Oscar to explain all that for him. In other words... Academy Award winner vs. a little child star celebrity. Dan Radcliffe started to stop being Harry Potter during the third movie and died a sad death in the fourth. But a lot of people were blinded by their love for the book Harry Potter and transferred that love to Radcliffe ~ and now, though he can't act, he is very popular and a very big celebrity who hasn't done much else except, jockey a horse, open the back door for a guy off the street, play a half dead zombie, and cast as a villain in Now You See Me 2 ~ because of his celebrity ~ in which film, as a villain, he had no where near the gravitas that James Cagney brought to the screne, who is also a little man at 5'5” but a giant in the category of talent. By comparison ~ Radcliffe is no Mickey Rooney nor is he any where near an Edward G. Robinson who was also 5'5”. In my opinion... Edward Redmayne not only did a better job than Radcliffe but Redmayne's Newt was deeper, more sensitive, more real, and better than any character that Johnny Depp ever created. Redmayne should have received another academy award. BTW … If you can't tell... I hate hero worshiping. But.... but, but, but If there were a real hero here it would be JK who is responsible for everything in and about the Wizarding World ~ except the music ~ and like JK … Maestro Williams is still awesome ~ even at 90. So... Did you … could you … can you Do you see where I am coming from? & Does it still seem like a stretch ~ or well considered & totally legitimate ??? . peace.

For me what the success of the Hogwarts Legacy shows the most is that people love the setting and the idea of the magical universe and that's pretty much it. Casual fans want to be wizards, to have a house, a big bad to fight. Most fans who bought that game perceive the characters are general archetypes or ideas, not supremely profound multi dimensional explorations of the human experience. They like the idea of Voldemort but don't care much for Tom Riddle cause let's be real he isn't that well writen as a villain, he's just THE VILLAIN with a simplistic moral behind fighting him. He's a concept. And most of the iconic characters can be described that way, as concepts. HP really struck me, especially after it was over, as a franchise that is mostly loved for its setting, not its character work. Like when people say they love Marvel they love specific heroes, they aren't particularly enamoured with the idea of living on earth 616. But with HP it's the reverse mostly. Harry is first and foremost a cypher, an avatar for most audience members, which is why the games were you just get to be a wizard like him rather than be limited by his own life experiences and feelings, are the ones that work the best.
@NelielSugiura

@@KookiesNolly Exactly this! I loved the atmosphere and idea of attending a wizarding school whilst also helping solve a problem, and being able to RP as I went. Though seeing the castle, and finding familiarity in the landscapes, was an added bonus, it really could have been in any universe and, as such, I generally ignored that. Also, when a friend asked me why I would play the game given Rowling's LGBT hate, I just told him I doubted she would get much... and even if she did, I was more supporting the fantastic game studio, developers, and team and enjoying a world of magick. On several occasions I just wanted to VR into that game to escape reality and live somewhere that, though more dangerous than my real life, I find to be more thrilling with more possibilities. As for the whole villain thing with Voldemort, I am not going to claim to have written better villains in my own stories, but he did feel rather flat now that I re-watched the films the past few weeks. It is hard to say a lot of the characters are flushed out, though MovieFlame certainly brought light to the whole Harry & Ginny thing and, though cliché and cheesy, I guess that fits with a young-adult audience of the time the books were written. Really, from the film perspective (I never read the books like my sister), only the main trio and, perhaps, a few supporting characters had any real development and the rest where effectively background noise. However, from my experience writing, and seeing Game of Thrones, I think it is better to only have a few characters to focus on and grow or it gets overwhelming keeping track of all of them and their timelines. So, I generally stick to one to three main characters with one or two villains max, not the crazy numbers from HP or GoT.

It started becoming more about the romance and relationships rather than the story. Hogwarts legacy was all about the story. It borrowed a setting from HP, and that was it. I think a trick they missed out on was why Grindelwald changed his face between the 2nd and 3rd film. I think it would have been an interesting plot point that we don't know what he actually looked like, what his true motive were, who he really is, until he's defeated by Dumbledore. You could then change the actor for that role in each film and so it wouldn't seem odd that he changed between the 2nd to the 3rd. It could tie in with their love story too, how Dumbledore is trying to get back the person that he loved but realises that just isn't possible. I've not written this very well but I hope you get the gist.

Another thing I think added to the failure is that Rowling doesn't know how to write for the Wizarding World if not through the eyes of a single protagonist. Even when the golden trio had stuff to do in the HP saga, we always followed Harry's POV so the story felt focused and condensed. In FB we jump from Newt to Dumbledore to Grindelwald to Credence (and this is only the last movie, don't get me started on the second one). It is pretty difficult to keep things balanced doing a story like this (take a look at Infinity War or Endgame for example, balancing multiple leading characters in different locations), and I think Rowling was not up to the task for this

I think the franchise can be saved just by hiring someone other than David Yates. Apart from Deathly Hallows Part 2, all his other 6 movies were poorly received. I am honestly disappointed that the fantastic beast series was cancelled just about halfway through its intended 5 movie story. I enjoyed all 3 of the movies, along Newt Scamander's character and role in the battle against Grindelwald, as well as many of the other main characters. I am even glad that the secrets of Dumbledore touched upon what happened between Albus, Aberforth, and Arianna, which the Harry Potter deathly hallow movies kind of glossed over. I also wish we got to see how Newt played a role in Grindelwald's final defeat, as well as the famous duel between Gellert Grindelwald and Albus Dumbledore that was considered the greatest duel in the history of the Wizarding World. At the very least, the fantastic beasts movies ended with the good guys beating the bad guys, and having a somewhat happy ending.

The main thing for me was the writing. The movies had the same problem that some super hero films have, in that they tried to cram too many storylines into one series. This can work in a book, but for me it felt like the series whole premise changed. This isn't to say I didn't want to see Dumbledore explored, but he almost needed his own movie. There could have been a duology or trilogy focused on Newt and the beasts, and then a movie or two focused on Dumbledore (in which Newt could have made a cameo). That way it would have been clear who the protagonist was (Newt or Dumbledore) and what the focus was supposed to be (the beasts or Grindelwald). Even Marvel makes a point of giving characters their own series, before mashing them together in a multi-protagonist team up. Of course the controversies didn't help. While I think the writing was the main reason for the film's failure (as controversy alone hasn't stopped the success of Hogwarts Legacy), the controversy COULD have prevented the films from JUST squeaking by. Plenty of mediocre or disappointing films have still been finished, after all. No one calls the Transformers movies masterpieces, and Marvel has its misses, but the movies still do okay, if not great, because of fan support. All in all, it was just a bad combination. The scripts were disappointing, and then there was anger from the fans on top of that. I still love the first film, because it was clear who and what it was about, and I loved Newt's character. However, even as a diehard Potterhead, I'll admit I haven't seen the third film yet. I was disappointed when I watched the second film (I've seen it twice now, and I definitely don't remember Lolly, and I've already forgotten why Leta Lestrange was important). There's more I could say, but maybe I should just make my own video at this point. 😅

I have never really understood what the purpose of merging the newt storyline with grindelwalds was. It just makes no sense at all. Also the move to america, obviously its to give the american viewer a sense of identification, but idk. And the controversy around Hogwarts Legacy wasnt really one. Tiny minority who actually discouraged people from buying it. It sold well because everyone waited for so long for a AAA HP game but it dwindled down like every other poorly designed rp. The world is beautiful, the quest design is not. Thats why it got ~ 8.000 players steam rn. Fan service is actually a big thing in both, Fantastic beasts and Hogwarts Legacy, that rather worsened it then help. I am honestly so bummed by this! The movies aren't bad at all. I enjoyed watching them SO MUCH. The only reason I couldn't watch FB3 in the theatres was because of my exams. The duels, the creatures, the plot of this movie (as I later found out for myself) were REALLY good. Even the people of my Twitter feed, who hated the fact that Depp had been fired, actually seemed to love Mads' portrayal of Grindelwald. As for the mirror dimension scene, I know it was really confusing and not explained well, but there are so many things in the original Harry Potter movies that haven't been explained at all, and we needed to read the books to understand that stuff. I honestly feel that hating these movies had sort of become a trend on the internet. I don't understand why it is so hard to separate the art from the artist, especially when there are so many other people involved in it. This is so unfair to the cast and crew who had worked so genuinely hard on these movies. It's sad that we won't get to see the Epic Duel between Dumbledore and Grindelwald, and the fall of Grindelwald's tyranny. The last 2 movies would've been EPIC.😕

I think the biggest mistake was the announcement of 5 movies because thats way too big of a number to announce especially when the main screen writer has no experience in writing a movie. That’s a trap that many studios (Warner bros especially) had walked into far too many times and it only gives the fans false hope. Now let’s hope that they handle the Hogwarts legacy HBO series that’s apparently happening a lot better by just focusing on the subject at hand instead of trying to set up something big that may or may not happen

It's when they decided to focus more on the Dumbledore war with Grindleward is where things fell apart. The good thing about Crimes of Grindelwald going in a noticeably different direction is that it's relatively easy to see the first Fantastic Beasts movie as its own thing especially because of how well it wrapped itself up. Grindelwald had been apprehended, Newt is on his way back to England, Credence had died, Tina basically admits she has feelings for Newt implying they'll see each other in the future, Jacob's mind was erased but Queenie showed up to imply they'll get together anyways. That said it is a shame that the series turned out as it did, despite the various failings there was still some potential with the last two films but oh well. Sucks we won't get to see Dumbledore & Grindelwald's duel but on the bright side, now there's no chance of it being underwhelming. On a sort of unrelated note, as a lifetime Star Wars fan, it was a little funny to hear you talk about how you were brainwashed into hating the series instead of relying on your own opinions. Reminded me of when I was a teen and saw all the Prequel Trilogy Hate, "I guess these films I loved as a kid were garbage." Sure those films had problems but there were a lot of good things too so I eventually stopped blindly following the hate train and went with a more complex thought train. It has good & bad things, and that's ok.

I love Star Wars too. If I remember correctly, one of the reasons the prequels had problems was because Lucas wanted to do all the script-wring and directing; certain content creators have noted he doesn’t know how to write certain topics such as politics, e.g., the politics of the first film where the senate discusses the Naboo crisis, nor is he a “people-friendly” director. Whereas in the original trilogy he had plenty of help. You could say JK pulled a Lucas when it came to the script-writing for the Crimes of Grindalwald film, hence some of its problems. Whereas for Fantastic Beasts she had help.

Credence didn't actually die in the first movie. There's a very brief shot where you see a part of his Obscurus fly away from the underground railway after he was blasted, indicating that he survived. I actually don't think the Star Wars prequels have many flaws. If you haven't seen them, I'd strongly recommend Rick Worley's videos on Star Wars. The first one he made was all about how the prequels are much better movies than we arguably deserved, and you'll learn quite a lot about what George was doing with and was trying to accomplish with the prequels, and Star Wars in general.

I hate that it was cancelled . I enjoyed Fantastic Beast more than Harry Potter. It goes to show how toxic masculinity is celebrated more than an empathetic, authentic, kind man such as Newt. Hufflepuffs are the better men and women that the world needs over Griffindor, Slytherin and Ravenclaw! The world would be a better place if people would be more like Hufflepuffs like Newt. It’s very disappointing that it’s gone because I enjoyed it and respect Newt even as a fictional character and even more the man who plays the part. I fell immediately in love with him the first 5 minutes starting on the first movie. I wish they could finish the franchise for those who loved it and wanted a conclusion of his story! I seriously hate this! 😢- A Griffindor

I'm in a bit of a mixed scene on this. I appreciate the work you do on these and that you - more than others I've seen - are able to give credit where it's due even when it conflicts with other popular opinions. I don't think Dumbledore's relationship was what sank the franchise, nor do I think it was well foreshadowed in the existing HP books. I am, however, in the camp that Fantastic Beasts was Newt's thing and he got sidelined in his own series to showcase Grindlewald and such. I would not have minded them continuing down a separate road... but, what about Newt? I go into Fantastic Beasts I want the Fantastic Beasts. How about showing us a young Newt just discovering his love for Magical creatures? I know that suitcase of his with its own pocket dimension didn't just apparate. Ahh the Johnny Depp story. I had almost forgotten that. It's far too easy to "believe" that a woman is being taken advantage of by a man, but the reverse can be true and it's harder to prove. My own Uncle was physically abused by his wife for many years - something we didn't know until they were going through a divorce. Thinking "Warner Bros. DId their research" - I love your optimism there. No, I think they do knee-jerk reactions. The reason Amber Herd and Ezra still have their jobs (IMHO) is because they are hiding behind their sex and sexuality as a shield - and WB doesn't want the bad press for firing them. Yes, they've gotten plenty of bad press for keeping them on and it may be long term more detrimental than firing or at LEAST suspending them pending a full investigation, but they have decided in their limited wisdom that the immediate bad press isn't so bad. Depp is not the only victim in #metoo

About Displate: I love the designs and the concept. I got one for my birthday two years ago and although I installed it correctly, the plate and magnet fell off after about 8 months, meaning the magnet stopped sticking to the wall (or rather the protective sheet thing). The plate kept falling off every now and again and on one corner it's already dented so I had to drill holes and use nails.

The movies and books will come back eventually. They need a cooling off period. The fantastic beasts and where to find them movies need to be books first then movies and we as a society need to speak only positive things. If you don’t have something good and nice to say then don’t say anything. I loved the books and films

It's a shame but understandable that the Fantastic Beasts series had to end, but it is still sad we may never get to see the epic dual between Dumbledore and Grindelwald in 1945 play out. Obviously this series had it's faults when it came to the writing decisions and drama with the cast and JK Rowling but I still liked them. I loved Eddie Redmayne, Jude Law and Johnny Depp's performances as Newt Scamander, Albus Dumbledore and Gellert Grindelwald respectively, I was amazed with all the beasts that we got to see on screen especially Teddy the Niffler, Pickett the Bowtruckle and Frank the Thunderbird and I was shocked and intrigued when it was revealed that Nagini (Voldemort's snake) was once a human.

You should do what you did for the Cursed Child for the second and third films. Not saying they’re bad, I actually like the second one and haven’t seen the third one. Just as like changing it to be better films. Maybe even ideas for the fourth and fifth films. Anyways thats all, also I love your videos.

I actually think the Internet made the films sound better than they are. The first Fantastic Beasts film is enjoyable and had potential, but the following two films were garbage. Personally, I think a Dumbledore prequel needed to be told separately from Fantastic Beasts. There could certainly be some crossover/overlap between the two series since they’re taking place at the same time, but the stories they were telling and the tones they were going for were incompatible. Furthermore, the films conflate and contradict movie and book lore/canon.

I’m really sad we won’t see the last few films. I absolutely loved the three films we got. One thing I didn’t much like was how political it got in the third film but other than that I loved them! I wante d more from the relationships and I wanted to see an epic battle and stuff!! It’s a real shame really but now everything was outlined like that you realise how unlikely it was we’d ever get to the end of the story 😩 great video by the way!

I'll always love these movies despite their flaws and am sad we will never see the true ending. Thanks for the great video, it def helps cope with the cancellation. Tho I'm still hoping some day we get a movie or show with just the ending (Dumbledore Grindelwald fight mostly). Just the same actors too, and they can wait like 8 or so years to do this or even longer, it's still a lot of time in the story before this happens too. But I enjoyed what we got at least.

Fantastic Beasts died because WB and Rowling made PR disaster after PR disaster. People have lost faith in the brand, and the 3rd movie failed. My heart goes out to the people that lost their jobs because of her and WB's doing. It sucks that one person/company ruined it for everyone else.

WB got rid of Johnny Depp but kept Amber Heard and Ezra Miller in their roles which imo turned a lot of fans off. Add that to the problems with the movies themselves and it killed it.

Fantastic Beasts was something that was different but was within the same wizarding world Once the second film came out, even though I knew Johnny Depp was innocent, everybody HATED the films more because not long before were the things that J.K. said. The only thing I felt during that time was ashamed. Because I loved these films for the magic & the stories. So I stored away all my wizarding items. Shirts, wands, behind the scenes books.... everything. To this day I dont feel as though I can love a Hufflepuff hoodie without that feeling of shame. Time & time again , stories would appear due to things behind the scenes. & I think that's what got everybody. Feeling like we got stabbed in the heart because there was so much that was affecting the films. That people couldn't watch because they knew something was wrong & couldn't see that name or character without shaking their head. I really wanted to see where Newts story was going as well. I get why they cancelled the plans.....but I also feel like we're never going to see the battle between Dumbledore & Grindelvald,....we can only imagine from now on. 😔

The one commonality I can see in the creation (and downfall) of The Cursed Child and the Fantastic Beasts franchise is that they were introduced as movies/ plays before the scripts were released to the public. What J.k Rowling should have done first was release actual books first rather than scripts and see how audiences received them and then okay the creation of movies much like Suzanne Collins did with her prequel The Ballad of Songbirds and Snakes. Personally; I enjoyed the first Fantastic Beasts film and I still think it was great as a stand alone but once it was turned into a series with the main focus on Dumbledore and Grindelwald it started losing its appeal for me, maybe because reintroducing characters I thought I knew was different than entirely new characters who were afterthoughts in the original and you could play with their stories more.

Because I’m not gonna lie, I liked the films (even if they weren’t perfect)! But I did love reading the screenplays! They just felt more magical to me! I really also wish the that was currently a big book series being released! I just feel that it hasn’t happened for a while ! And I honestly really miss those midnight release events!

The main problem is the way these series were conceived. It should've been done just like with Harry Potter. First JK Rowling writes all the books telling the complete story she wants to tell and THEN they make movies out of them. But no, they had to make the movies without any book being made while Rowling and other writers wrote the script. That was what killed this series. An absolute misoportunity

It's hard to make a series that is adult oriented, after such a successful children's series. I enjoyed the movies and screenplays. I like your positive input about the Secrets... I think Rowling should make a 3rd edition to the original Fantastic Beasts, with the creatures not in the 2nd edition. If they do a streaming HP include Dumbledore/Grindelwald's duel.

I've never seen any of those films, I always found it was a strange direction for the franchise to go. However, I greatly appreciate your sense of responsibility. You recognize the influence and charisma that you have, and instead of basking in it and moving others to your will, you are very careful and guarded with what you say and how you say it. That is a mark of true maturity. So many influencers use their platform to champion their cause and push their views as if it is truth, losing themselves in that euphoric cloud of attention. \
