Saw X (2023) - Movie Review!!

Never would’ve thought that a franchise that ran out of steam for me already with its fourth movie is almost at its best with its TENTH movie

See I had the same thought with the traps being rather tame then when I reminded myself of when this is set, it kinda made more sense to me. This was earlier in the timeline before the traps got really over the top elaborate and he had a more limited timeline to come up with them whilst he was in Mexico. I was definitely surprised cause I was worried this would be a case of the trailer being better than the movie cause that trailer was amazing so I was really happy with how the movie turned out.

True. I guess when I really think about it, the traps in Saw 1 and 2 were relatively tame as well. They didn't start getting really crazy until 3.

this is definitely the best saw sequel since saw 6!! i actually thought the acting was amazing, the screams from the people in this movie really got to me.

I absolutely loved Saw X. Best one in a very long time. Your reaction was spot on. Agree with your comment about one of the characters who is part of the traps and actually isn’t a bad person. The conversations surrounding that, especially from John and Amanda made it feel more real in the sense that they saw the good in this person and didn’t put them in the position to fail, but were also hoping for a chance of survival as they believed this person could redeem themselves if they succeeded. I think this particular character’s storyline was interesting especially with how they affected John and Amanda (especially Amanda).

Exactly. It felt way more organic to have Amanda question John about that.

Theyre doing a sequel to Saw x, so i hope its about hoffman and kramer and them going after the higher ups of the people in X. Or continue from 7 and make it about hoffman and the doctor because im convinced hoffman is still alive. He escaped the reverse bear trap, so why not something so simple as shackles by breaking his ankle. I mean by cinema logic when it cuts to black and dont see the death on screen, it normally means the character isnt dead. A cat and mouse game between them two would be awesome.

I was really excited but I was kinda underwhelmed by the last part of the movie. Especially the last trap. Those 2 were actually terrible people and they deserved what Valentina and Mateo got imo

IMO, Saw X is the best in the franchise and best horror film of 2023 so far. 10/10

Nah, talk to me is the best horror this year. But that's my opinion, glad you enjoyed Saw X. Was a decent instalment in the franchise. 10/10 is pushing it abit though.

It's all subjective. I thought Talk to Me was good but not great and way too overhyped but I will say it's the most original horror film of the year but not close as being my favorite @@abrimfulofasha
