Nice film! Always good to see Martin Kosleck. I liked the twisted relationship between him and Rathbone…edgy!

Wow! That was great and, to me, Basil Rathbone did his best acting in this film. He was speaking slowly enough that I could understand and keep up with what he was saying. Thank you for posting this!😊

Excellent script, superb direction, fine acting. Ms. Ellen Drew more than holds her own with former Shakespearean actor, the great B. Rathbone. There's Shakespearean language ("parasol of stars") and plot echoes (murder, double-dealing and suicide) in this film. By any measure, this film deserves recognition and praise. It was released 14 Feb., 1941 by Paramount studios. Drew was then in the middle of a 7-year contract. Movie Magic, the poster, ought to respect its audience by INcluding rather than EDITING OUT the opening credits. We movie lovers want to see the details of the movie's production, including scriptwriters and technical staff. For example, this was released six weeks into '41. Wikipedia does not inform us of the copyright date -- I suspect that it is 1940. Only by SEEING the opening credits could we be informed correctly of that and other meaningful details. In sum, bring back the opening credits! `

Would you people mind running the WHOLE movie and NOT leave out the beginning? This a new game or something?
