3:10 i think it occaisionally happened that there were accidents onboard wooden ships filled with gunpowder, imagine some fool drops a torch in the powder keg room 9:27 if you go back, both norrington and governor swann both react to the subtle far off noise of the cannons firing the very first shots of the battle I'm going to just take it as head canon that the black pearl ship also wanted a piece of the gold and is now immortal and cursed and that's why it's so raggedy-ass but still sails cursedly fast

Corsets are usually fine- but the father mentioned it was the latest fashion in London, likely meaning that Elizabeth wasn’t used to wearing one. And he mentioned it was a gift so he must have sent off for it to be made for her, so he likely just estimated on the measurements so it was probably the wrong size- which was why Elizabeth struggled so much wearing it.

I'm always bemused when someone dismisses Will knocking Jack out as "doing something stupid". Even without Will's comment after, it's clear from the look he gives in the tavern that he knew Jack was at least claiming to plan to use him as "leverage". It would stupid NOT to go rogue. And his plan should have worked, Barbossa wouldn't have bothered going after them was because they took the medallion with them, which Will had no idea about because Jack was playing games. Jack has no one to blame but himself.
