It's that special time of year again where I make my friends spend an entire day at a movie theater. I spent $40 on two plain hot dogs and dusty candy! What a life!

This video is a funny "discussion", although not necessarily a "review", of The Fabelmans, Violent Night, and The Menu. This channel, Nativebirds, specializes in funny, offbeat, and high-effort videos about movies. Recently I edited a cooking video though, that was really fun too.
- GARBAGE SECTION -
The Fabelmans is a 2022 American coming-of-age drama film directed by Steven Spielberg and written and produced by Tony Kushner and Spielberg. It is a semi-autobiographical story loosely based on Spielberg's adolescence and first years as a filmmaker, told through an original story of the fictional Sammy Fabelman, a young aspiring filmmaker who explores how the power of films can help him see the truth about his dysfunctional family and those around him. The film features an ensemble cast that includes Gabriel LaBelle as Sammy, with Michelle Williams, Paul Dano, Seth Rogen, and Judd Hirsch in supporting roles.
If you know about the cameo at the end of The Fabelmans then you already know I ATE IT UP. I love this movie for real.
Violent Night is a 2022 American Christmas action comedy film starring David Harbour as Santa Claus, who fights mercenaries who have taken a wealthy family hostage in their home. It is directed by Tommy Wirkola, written by Pat Casey and Josh Miller, and also starring John Leguizamo, Alex Hassell, Alexis Louder, Edi Patterson, Cam Gigandet, Leah Brady, and Beverly D'Angelo.
No judgments if this movie worked for you. I detested its lazy jokes.
The Menu is a 2022 American dark comedy horror film directed by Mark Mylod, written by Seth Reiss and Will Tracy, based on an original story created by Tracy, and produced by Adam McKay, Betsy Koch and Will Ferrell. The film features an ensemble cast that includes Ralph Fiennes, Anya Taylor-Joy, Nicholas Hoult, Hong Chau, Janet McTeer, Reed Birney, Judith Light, and John Leguizamo. The film focuses on a group of diners at an exclusive restaurant who discover the celebrity chef owner intends to kill them all before the night is out.
Although The Menu does not do much with its core concept, its witty little script and Ralph Fiennes make it absolutely worthg your while. Maybe watch it on a plane. Perfect plane movie.
