Congrats Shelby on finding your LA apartment and getting to move. I know you need to get settled in but I think an interesting main channel video would be to do a cost comparison on how much it cost to rent in Seattle versus LA, including things like utilities, food, entertainment. Maybe compare similar months where you lived in each of those apartments for people to gauge the difference of costs. I’m curious if now that you live closer to friends and family again and can walk to things still, does that help okay a big role in keeping overall spending habits down. But just a thought. Hope unpacking and getting settled in is going well. 😊

I was right about the Apartment you picked. When I saw the natural light it was the best of all of them. You and the sun have to be playmates or Shelby isn't as happy as she could be. I could tell how relaxed you were being close to your parents and I get it without you being in that wonderful high rise apartment you used to be in. I just knew you'd be traveling away soon. I live in the donut hole so I get so much more sun here in WA and I know that Seattle can be so gray. I'm very happy for you Shelby and I hope to continue to see your main channel and especially your vlog.

Great vlog Shelby! I guessed the first apartment would be your pick, it's so nice, you really did light up when viewing it in your previous vlog! It's a shame about the last unit - the space was nice but definitely a good call to not choose it because unprofessional/bad management can make your experience miserable. The lease take over aspect of the first unit is definitely nice especially if you find a home for purchase like you mentioned. Monica's house looks lovely! I've never been to Palm Springs but I imagine that living there would make you feel like you're on vacation 24/7 especially with that pool and hot tub. Can't wait to see your move-in vlogs! I hope the table fit 🤞🏼

All the stops put me off getting an electric car tbh. I feel like with normal cars you can drive all day without needing to fill up. I'd like to try a hybrid as then I'd feel less nervous about finding a finding a charger. Also you have to plan your whole trip out according to the stops!

Yay so exciting! I had a feeling you might choose the first one as it had all that great shared space with the hot tub. And cheaper is good. I really liked that last apartment actually, as it didn't feel like a high rise and the trees added some privacy but there was natural light. It felt kinda homey.

I kinda wish you'd toured some older character buildings as well (not all high rises) so we could have seen the difference in price! Some of them have amazing art deco or Spanish features and I feel like they'd be better value for money in walkable areas. But I guess you like ultra modern and that's ok!

Omg I agree… the sudo-office in the front (weird use of space that everyone has to walk past). Then past the GIGANTIC bathroom (for some reason)…then up the narrow stairs for needing anything outa the fridge (blocked by a banister). And those small cramped big-black-framed-windows I always think are ugly. I kept thinking ‘she must be doing someone a favor’ 🤣

I totally relate to that feeling of wanting to be in your neighborhood bubble because I love my neighborhood and a lot of times I don't want to leave it, especially if everything is walking distance/there's a ton of restaurants and shopping around. Just so you know, a lot of gyms make it extremely difficult to cancel your membership. Crunch for instance (which is a big chain), requires you to show up in person to cancel. So people who move often run into issues because they make it literally impossible to cancel unless you show up in person to do it. It’s probably too late because you’re likely not in Seattle anymore, but just so you/others know! It’s best to make sure that’s completely sorted out before you actually move!

Apartment management and noisy neighbors are a nightmare for a lot of tenants in California. I have a nice apartment with an unbelievable area but the management is D minus and the people who live above me are terrible. I am struggling with myself whether I should move out but to where is the question.
