My dad has always taught me that the richest people are always the cheapest. My grandpa was very cheap and he loved to save money. He always went shopping at second hand stores and bulk stores because he loved to get the best price. Instead of spending money on clothes and electronics and other superficial things that don't matter he would buy houses and stocks. He died with over 10 million in ASSETS, that's not including what was in the bank and stocks and his own LLC. He went from the ghetto of Long Island City in NY to a multimillionaire. I hope that inspires people to save, save, save and then spend on important investments that'll make them money. Buy the shoes when you're rich.

Sponge Bob while investing in stocks can give you money they are very risky, I would suggest investing In something less risky such as CDs ( certificate of deposits) they aren't as risky as stocks but they still give you money just not as much as a stock would.

If you want to save money while living alone, keep the leeches out of your house. That includes broke friends, family members, and those looking to lean on you. And whatever you do DO NOT give your girl or boyfriend the key to your house. That leads to a life that will suck the life out of you.

People get mad when you save money. I've been told I'm behind since I don't own a car where you have to pay for it, insurance, and gas. I barely spend money on transportation and get everywhere I need. People also get on me about my clothes, but when they're buying $150 shoes I'm using that money much more wisely.

I think the first thing people should do if they're struggling is cancel that cable bill. That's $100+ a month right there. Everything you want to watch is online. Any movie or TV show will be on Putlocker for free. Any live sports you want to watch you can stream on sites like Feed2All for free. Plus you can have Netflix. I disagree with the phone thing. Getting rid of your phone completely is dumb. It may make you a few hundred right away but that's about it. You should however downgrade your plan and that'll save money.
