Name suggestion: Hestia, Greek goddess of Fire, hearth, home, and protecting the house. Vesta would be the roman equivalent. Phoenix is always a good shout but a touch overused for fire names however still suits her well, and another fire goddess is 'Brigid' the pagan goddess of Fire, healing, spring and renewal

To weigh in on the lighting debate, I used to work at the National Aquarium, and pretty much all of our enclosures were lit up, with almost no lighting in the hallways. It obviously came with some drawbacks, but I think it was amazing to showcase the animals. If I was in your position, I’d set the overhead lights suuuuper low, and then have the enclosure lights be the predominant light source. This also helps with animal stress, since they will see their own reflection more than a bunch of big apes walking around
@olivarcynthia3 жыл бұрын

If I survived a fire, I wouldn't want to be named fire- I would want to be named after its foe. And while I know the fire tetrahedron would state a lack of oxygen or chemical chain reaction are valid ways to put out a fire, we all know the classic opposite of fire is water. So, I would suggest Ceto. Not only the Greek goddess of water, she is linked to dragons and serpents through her many children.

For the Argentina boa, “celeste” would be a great name as her freckles look somewhat like stars! :)

Yeahhhhh I second this one!!!

Was just in the zoo today, it's looking great guys! I'm excited for the Rex footage that Ed mentioned. I think your Argentine Boa is the most spectacular snake I've ever seen, 12/10.

Y’all need to make a zoo tour video. It would be so cool to see some of the new reptiles you got in their huge enclosures

Phoenix is a nice name, but I like Ember. And Ash for the male. It's amazing to see the Argentine boa tbh - she's so big! And she just went straight up that wall!

It might be a cool thing lighting wise to turn the main lights down low, have some glow and the dark arrows on the ground pointing out the path, and then the rest lit up by the enclosures

Brad looks amazing in her new home. ^^ she's had so many babies good to take time off and get a treat for all her babies with a new home! :D she'll probably reward you next year.

I always thought Scatha would be a good name for a snake. Scatha is a wyrm from Lord of the Rings and in his horde he had The Horn of Rohan. I'd say the Rohirrim know a bit about recovering from tragedy
@NawniColes3 жыл бұрын
You should maybe clarify that a wyrm/worm is a dragon, because not everyone will know.

You could call her Crucible; she’s been forged in fire and come out stronger ❤️
@eklypseperegrin63433 жыл бұрын
Crucible could be an awesome name for the male too!

You could name her Fall names like Autumn, Olive, Maple, Aster, since in the fall the leaves are all burnt oranges and reds. I think it would be nice since it’s not directly related to her experience but still alludes to it. Or maybe even something to do with growth/healing/new beginnings, Ceres, Nova, Aurora, Hope, Novak (male)

I like Autumn. My last Cat was Autumn. She was born a week b4 the start of Fall. I didn't know torishells were born black, then changed color. So when I was looking for a name. I thought mmmm Autumn

I haven’t realize that it’s been two years and I watched every episode since the beginning I love snake discovery. A name for the female Argentine Boa (I don’t know if that’s how to spell it) is Ember it’s means fire so I think it would be great for her she’s a beautiful snake ( if you like the name Ember I would like for you to comment to show Emily and Ed you don’t have to it you don’t want to!!) Edit: tsym for the likes 😁😁😁
