@malobeats2 жыл бұрын
Warping audio in the MPC is awesome when it works but it does have its minor limitations but overall I’m extremely happy to have it in our MPC‘s. I definitely want to do a video on this topic since there’s so much more with time stretching and warping audio. Blessings to you my brother and thank you for dropping by.

Please cover warping vs time stretching!
@lexxdyamonz2 жыл бұрын
The warp function actually works a lot better when using the MPC software. It puts all the work of warping the sample on your computer instead of the MPC. It also keeps the original audio in tact with minimal loss of sound quality. Make sure to change the warp setting to "Elastique Pro (Best Sound)" in the software preferences under General > Audio Warp and BPM Detect.

I came from the 2000XL, bought it new and then sold it a few years later. Had a break from music, moved on to computers when ableton was released then came back to Akai when I got myself a One (now own the live2) . Wish I’d had it 20 years ago. Great time to be making music, so much awesome hardware atm.

@@malobeats lol, we must have been separated at birth. It’s quite interesting how many old school MPC guys have come back to Akai with these new machines. What slowed my knowledge down was not having all these awesome videos on KZbin. It was just trial and error and the odd tutorial in future music magazine which never made any sense.

OK, so before I even critique your demo...I bought my first MPC2000 in actually 2000, lol...then bought me the 1000 and noticed the added effects, but became disilluioned with Akai altogether because having to pay extra for shit that I could probably make on my was a bit much. but I am leaning on buying me the Live II, of which I've heard has a big learning curve when it comes sound banks, but I've never used them at all because I do my digging for the perfect beat. be it a kick, a hi-hat, bass and what not...I can't try to stick to sound banks because it just sounds dumb like I haven't done my own homewor....waiting to be amazed though. thank you either way. :)

MV8000! MPC Live II is my first MPC. lots of things are easier to perform such as sequencing and chopping samples. But the MV had a mastering suite which would easily allow me to make my beats demo ready.
@malobeats2 жыл бұрын
My goodness, thank you for sharing this. So many people have mentioned great things about the MV 8000 I’ve never used it myself but it seems like it had a lot packed into that box.
@yvesdropBeats2 жыл бұрын
@@malobeats The MV is a great piece of machinery. it is a DAW in a box. Most beautiful feature of it is that you can connect a monitor and mouse to the unit. My issue is that because it was such an old model there isn't a lot of support for it. Once I purchased the MPC Live II I've been able to learn from people using the One and the X. Again, main thing I miss is not having a mastering suite with templates, such as "pop" or "dance" music mastering. Thanks for the vid Malo
