Wait if you are not adding key and bpm to the song that's a problem on its own should be standard practice but most people don't even realize chord progressions actually exist and staying in key

I haven’t produced in about 3 years. I was using the Maschine MK II , and I’m considering getting the mpc today. It’s daunting trying to learn new things and contend with life, but your tutorials are helping me to connect the dots and make me pull the trigger on the mpc one. My biggest gripe with Maschine was the sequencer. Even with the addition of ideas mode, I never felt like I could seamlessly create variation. NI put a lot of unnecessary plugins on sounds as well, so I’d spend a lot of time designing sounds within the software, only to be limited by the cumbersome arranger. Thank you for the tutorials bro 💪🏾

Excellent tutorial! I think the way you edit the beat afterwards is really convenient if you come from Ableton. Another handy way is to copy a pattern into different sequences and then edit them from there and later on you can work using the song sections, but this process takes a little more time. Again, I’m glad I found your channel, take care!
@malobeats3 жыл бұрын
Hey Pablo, yes I’ve been really working much faster with that method lately, coming from Ableton it just made sense for me to piece my song together in that format

Those are some great ideas. I get my samples from a Patreon and they're all together in the same folder. Most of the times I only know that i used them after listening to them all again. What I'm doing right i creating folders with the date of the download so i can know which are the most recent ones. I don't think I can realistically,atm go to the samples and organize them like you do,but i hope this way helps me. I'm gonna try to place future drum loops/samples in a separate folder. Thank you for the video! Another subject,i think I need some monitors,mostly because of my #shorts. Any budget and small ones you'd recommend? I've seen some, but i don't think those sites understand the meaning of budget. Or, I'm too poor :D Btw,i have 3 months of Splice. Do you have any video about it? Thanks and keep it up!!
@malobeats3 жыл бұрын
I know what you mean when it comes down to organizing the files well the good thing about splice is that whenever you download a sample pack it creates these folders for you and it organizes them. I definitely want to create a video showing some of my workflow behind splice it would be a great topic.
@PeteOnTheBeat3 жыл бұрын
@@malobeats thanks! I am very curious about it. I have not venture into it because so far i don't have shortage of samples to work with. The MPC allows me bring life to some samples i got from free packs that i thought were whack (flipping them)
@PeteOnTheBeat3 жыл бұрын
@@malobeats question about splice samples: aren't they all chosen by now? Is there anything that's fresh enough to be worth the monthly fee? I have the 3 months,but if it's not that expensive,I'll try to sub it.
