Wow thanks for this, I've owned my ASRX pro for years, just bought MPC One few months ago and I'm interested in the Maschine since your last post lol. Only drum modules I own so I must be on the right track. Btw I never comment but want to say I'm thankful for guys like yourself (although there are very few) you are gold for some of us without the time to learn this stuff. Keep up the great work.... please!

Good to see the ASR X still getting some love. Keep finding myself working on new things on the s2400, but wishing it had the features/functionality (effects, undo) of my ASR X, not to mention the polyphony for playing chords.

Oh, the Ensoniq... blast from the past. It had a nasty (good nasty) sounding compressor. Do you have it with the drum synthesiser, where you wait a minute before it goes PLOP!?

No, my ASR X is not the Pro version which had the Stomper which is what I think you're referring to. I almost bought a Pro version on eBay a year or so ago but missed the auction, it would have been interesting to use it. I love my ASR X, it sounds fantastic, so much clarity and separation between the samples no matter what you throw at it.
