You can only use the 3 built in synth plugins and built in effects with the mpc live in standalone. If you are in controller mode you have more plugin options.

I've had Splice on my MPC X since April last year. And I get an error every time saying there are 2 sounds can't be loaded. Also one of the soundkits never show up

So you can't load more than 2 sounds from Splice? Or can you load anything at all from the Splice integration? Are you able to load up the one kit that doesn't show up into your computer? Curious...not trying to interrogate you or anything. I haven't had any issues yet.

If you are using the MPC X in controller mode it has a built in audio interface. I personally use the Apollo X6 now with ableton live. But, I really avoid the MPC in controller mode. I like to use the MPC in standalone mode.

does anyone have issues with their splice samples not playing? It's really weird, I even went and udpated them. Some play in my mpcone and some don't, but they are there.

It has to do with some Splice packs being a type of FLAC file the MPCs can't read. Best solution is to either use the MPC as a controller for the Desktop Software or to locate the sample you want to use on your desktop and transfer them to your MPC via an SD card or SSD.

Anyone had this problem? When I initially synced my mpc to splice I picked the mpc’s internal drive as the storage rather than an external drive. When I did this, it created the whole splice file directory within the MPC- sorting samples by key, instrument, etc. I eventually realized I had way too many samples to put them on the internal drive and decided to change where the splice files were located. When I re-synced to my external storage, the external storage did not automatically create the sorted file directory the way it did when I synced to the mpc. Is there any way to get your samples to organize themselves into splice’s folders when you sync them? I don’t want to have to re-sort all of them by hand.

Not sure what you mean. Splice syncs in standalone mode, but you need to be connected to the internet like I show in the video to be able to download the files.

I came back to this video just to see if your sound extensions are labeled .flac and sure enough it is. This video is 2 years old. I been doing research to see if Splice sounds were once .WAV when importing to MPC. As I can see it was not. On REDDIT in 2021 there is a thread about this. MPC users were complaining that Splice sounds will not play .Flac sounds. A user contacted AKAI and was told to contact Splice. Splice pointed the finger back at AKAI. This makes Splice integration with MPC Null and Void. On top of .WAV is superior to .FLAC Were you able to play your Splice sounds and edit them in your MPC? Let me know.

Ahhh problem solved! You have to update your mpc software on pc and you have to update your firmware on your mpc....there are two different downloads.... After you updated your mpc in standalone mode you can find splice in preferences

Not sure what the presets are for that you got. I am not aware of any presets for the MPC. When you sync Splice it syncs the samples from Splice to the MPC and downloads them to the drive you select on the MPC One.

Do you have access to the samples you've used without a membership? Let's say you used to have membership and make used the samples to produce beats but no longer have membership.
