The servers were overwhelmed with the MPC Stems announcement today which is now fixed. Activations will be slightly backlogged for a few hours. Sorry for any Inconvenience this has caused.

After all the Money they make they can’t invest in a better Server really Very Comic, any way great let all your customers hate Akai & they will go away as soon as another company make a better & more stable product similar, The Akai Ego will be on the FLOOR

@ Ben Correll, you have to wait until you receive the email that says "Welcome to Stems", a little while after your purchase. Once you get that email, it WILL be in your Akai account. I purchased at 4pm today and I just got the "Welcome" email at 6pm, now its in my account. Hope this helps ease your frustration.

can confirm it.. also had the problem but since i’ve got the mail “welcome to stems” i was able to activate it. 🎉

Akai does have a bifurcated interface on what updates pulled down what. It’s messy for sure. It would get better soon.

for me the activation was easy. The problem - on Windows 11 ryzen 3800x 4.2 ghz cpu, 64gb of DDR4 ram, CPU spikes to 100% when processing stems.

I just don’t like the fact that you can’t do this exclusively in standalone mode, you have to be in controller mode, transfer the stem, then you can use it in standalone mode.

Yes. I believe that the hardware limitations are starting to meet its full potential. A new platform is needed. If the platform is to keep on expanding.

I think they barely got it working on stand alone. It is more of a direct port so It makes sense that it would be ready. But for stand alone I think that it’s more of a challenge. Akai has crammed a lot into the current hardware platform. I think we’re at the end of current MPCs.
