Thanks Man! I was trying to figure out how to take the sample off of one shot. I was able to learn as you did your walk through.

Excellent. Unlocked use of "note on", "loop fwd", "loop reverse" for me, and made the benefit of chopping to programs clear. Thank you.

Dope!! Try and make a video explaining how in song mode all your sequences need to be lined up according to the track #. So many people I talk to DO NOT understand this and think the software is broken....Its not thoroughly explained anywhere here on YT! People hv been requesting a video on this! =)
@mpchead6 жыл бұрын
Cool, I'll include that tip in my next video. I even think that I've touched on that subject in one of my videos but I'm no sure, would need to go and watch it.

Great video , thanks! I was always struggling to play loops with drum programs as clip mode is so complicated, so this fix many issues with my work flow :)... I hope they add loop mode mode in the drum programs soon like one shot and note on

Great video... That extend feature I didn’t know even existed.... Question? When you flip samples in this way where no one knows where the music or voice came from you don’t have to get the samples cleared correct? It’s not like your just taking a loop from a song and repeating it, your just taking the sound elements and playing them a different way I’m i right or wrong?

What if you wanted to play that looped sample chromatically? In other words make a little melody? Can you just hit 16 note or is there another way?
@mpchead2 жыл бұрын
you can do 16 levels or create a keygroup and play the sample chromatically throughout the entire keyboard.

DO YOU ADD THOSE ONE SHOT VOCAL SAMPLES AND KEY MELODY SAMPLE TO A DRUM PROGRAM OR DO YOU CREATE A SAMPLE PROGRAM?

Is there a way to put samples into a program and play them repeatedly when performing various samples?
@mpchead4 жыл бұрын
Yes, I think you are referring to polyphony. you can play 64 samples at the same time.

@@mpchead Thank you for answer. That's not what I wanted to know. Is there a way to automatically repeat a sample when the pad is pressed once?
@mpchead4 жыл бұрын
@@walkaroundtheworld2803 If the question is Note Repeat then Yes note repeat is a feature from the MPC, it's on all the mpc
@mpchead4 жыл бұрын
@@walkaroundtheworld2803 You can also use clip programs, but I don't know if that's the answer you are after.

Can I convert only one pad in the program to a clip?
@rodgozinya30096 жыл бұрын
Does having Note On/One shot selected effect only the recording of the pad or do the samples reference the setting in sequence playback? I hope I make sense...Thank you!
@mpchead6 жыл бұрын
When you playback the sequence the pads recorded in the grid will reflect the behaviour you assigned to them.

Nice video. What’s your opinion on the size of the screen on the live for sequencing.
@mpchead6 жыл бұрын
If you question is if I write midi notes on the grid mode with my fingers, the answer is no. But it can also be because of being used to recording everything with the pads. But I think the screen is a bit small for that imo. I've hear the X is a lot friendlier in that respect.
@Fatdogrecords6 жыл бұрын
MPC HEADZ yeah it was mainly just to correct little mistakes, I wouldn’t write like that
@mpchead6 жыл бұрын
Yeah I use it for that, move notes, select, erase.

Say I wanna do some chords of my samples and want to extend the sustain time of those samples to be able to let them play along like a bar or so. But my sample would only be little chops. What would be a good method to adjust the length of those chops? Any ideas someone? Thanks in advance. And thanks for the content Marlow! Appreciated :)

Looking for the loop button. Is it in program ???
@mpchead6 жыл бұрын
yeah, don't forget to turn on the pad to note on in the modulation screen then go back to the sample screen to turn on the loop. All inside program edit
@ernieg6 жыл бұрын
MPC HEADZ so the loop is in the pgm edit ?
@mpchead6 жыл бұрын
Yes, there is also a loop function in the sample edit screen. To extend sound you want to use the one in the program edit.
@ernieg6 жыл бұрын
MPC HEADZ I cant see that in my software
@mpchead6 жыл бұрын
you're in the software? At the top you have Grid - Wave - List .... Go to Wave on the right side you have loop function with a drop down menu. Be sure to go to program edit to turn your sample to note on.

On previous video you said you are not too much into mixing on MPC. I found good soft for that, looks very promising - it’s called Mixbus. Mixer in MPC for now it’s just „meh” for me at it’s current state so I will probably switch to Mixbus for mixing / mastering. They do nice promos on Black Fridays so I will get one then.
@mpchead6 жыл бұрын
I didn't say I don't mix in the Mpc, I said I am not good for mixing tips. I do mix on the Mpc but I agree with you, the mpc is not prepared for high end mixing, mostly because of poor EQ and compressors.
@madluper6 жыл бұрын
Mixbus looks good for both of those for speeding up the workflow but Fabfilter (whole bundle, including EQ) and Goodhertz (Wulf Compressor) are top notch for me as a vst plugins.
