This man should be celebrated as the comic GENIUS he is. I grew up watching Benny Hill & so glad i did this man was simply a master of his craft & for those who don't know this: He was the 1st person ever to do & use split screens where you see five different characters at once & people rang up the bbc complaining of withcraft & the like. Never again will we see or be entertained by anyone with this much brilliance genius humour ability to script endless funny sketches. A true comedy legend.

Some people don't find this funny, but there are lots that do. Everyone's got their own opinion. Personally, I loved Benny's work, and still do. This sketch makes me laugh so much that I roll around the floor, crying with laughter. No comedian in this PC world does that for me. I find them all dull and boring- no timing, no wit, no cleverness. Stand up comedy these days nearly always relies on profanities - and I can't see what's funny about that.

I think it even aired on the Comedy Channel before becoming Comedy Central. My sister used to say that when she would say with our grandparents and my granddad would watch it she thought "Oh my! Papa is watching some pretty adult stuff." Mostly cause of the woman in bikinis or their undergarments but it was back when she was little so she didn't understand it wasn't as bad.

Also, I am always a cowboy (ALWAYS) and I like to smoke Marlboros while watching the sunset. ('cause Britain has this thing with associating America with John Wayne films.) Somehow, there is a fine line with racist humor, and it's nice to see someone see the shock/comedic value in it. Not all comedy is squeaky clean!

It seems aeons ago since he was last on t.v.: both Hill and McGee came to sad ends (McGee had dementia) while Hill's other foil, Bob Todd, was dropped from the show because his drinking affected his performances.

Classic benny Hill. A pox on Ben Elton and his metropolitan PC fascist brigade. Mind you, the funniest ventriloquist act was the classic "worst ventriloquist in the world" by Sandy powell. Anybody got that to unload on youtube.

Its on here, look up Sandy Powell Ventriloquist. Then look up Sandy Powell Caretaker for an incredibly dark sketch from the 1920s.
