From what I have seen, some sellers use it as a way to rapidly move the excess stuff they get from bulk buys, particularly if they are selling small items like craft supplies and ephemera. In some categories, a lot of them seem to be primarily selling stuff that they get in bulk buys that don't fit their areas of specialization, mostly to other resellers. It seems to be particularly useful to people who buy large lots on a regular basis. Some of them also use it to help drive customers to their eBay and Etsy sites.

Absolutely. And I'm buying stuff just to sell on there- like the short video we put up with the stuff from the book show- I bought the flat of trade cards- my price into them was low enough that I can make money moving them out quickly on Whatnot. I don't know trade cards so it's a great opportunity for buyers but I'll still be making money. Have to love the site as it opened up a whole new world to me.

I sell ephemera on WN, I really enjoy the social aspect of it. There is no appeal for me to list on ebay with no personal connection to buyer, just filling in listing info and so on. I try to embrace the social aspect and the livestreaming aspect of WN which is partly a show and is fun/entertaining. I even usually play piano for people most shows, thats not something you can have really anywhere else. Also not everything goes for cheap, ive had some very big sales on WN, maybe even more than Id get on ebay potentially.

Funny, I've begun incorporating at 4:20 PM on my shows, the Cornfucius joke of the day (don't ask- Homer and Jethro routine from back in the day- horrible jokes) and people actually show up for that! They're gluttons for punishment obviously!

@@andrewtrovato1828 And thank you! I really think Mr-Magazine is missing that aspect as even when he's set to sell on there, he's hiring someone to do it. If he let his personality shine through..... but baby steps- it's taken two years to get him to sell on there in the first place....
