One good question for Steve is why this tendency for short man in bodybuilding. The best bodybuilders must be a model/standard for the average Joe. I think kids prefer the body of Dwaine Johnson than the body of Hadi Choopin. The height is very important, and the judges are with focus in detail and loosing the big picture

Good one ! Milos, the posing issue is clear now, we hope ? A real gentleman Steve, very modest. We like that very much.
@MilosSarcevOfficialYoutubePage Жыл бұрын
What is clear? That posing is NOT judged for dancing ability, choreography, movement, entertainment....and any of that nonsense - people here are mentioning. It was called "posing round" - (besides SYMMETRY ROUND - where shape, aesthetics, balance, proportions...etc were being judged: and MUSCULARITY ROUND - where those 8 mandatory poses were judged in direct comparisons)...POSING ROUND was never about the posing (even though good routine is welcomed)...it was a chance for the athletes to do poses OTHER THAN MANDATORIES that best exemplify their physiques and show their strengths that might NOT be as visible in just mandatories...!!!) You guys are ALL - MISSING THE POINT!!! Google first 4 Mr Olympia winners - Scott, Oliva, Arnold and Zane...and see how many mandatory poses are used to present best bodybuilders to the World - what bodybuilding is ALL ABOUT!!! This is what I have been saying all along - yet people turn into - Milos wants dance contest... Far from it... I never liked those routines and openly criticized them...as: guys dancing are not showing bodybuilding poses and their bodies are never fully flexed, separated and far from perfect as they have to be loose - to be able to move...often sticking the stomach out, dropping the shoulders and what not...
@erikverstrepen3373 Жыл бұрын
@@MilosSarcevOfficialKZbinPage l understand completely where you get your drive from. I am a real fan, watching all the Menace podcasts and the Cutler cast. So l DO KNOW what you’re aiming at. What Steve said “posing round would never decide the winner”, is all l referred to, respectfully. I am a huge Dorian fan, because l feel he had to work harder, not having the V-taper genetics some other great athletes were born with. And his ‘93 routine was a real joy for me. Compared to Flex’ routine ? Brother, that was art (flexing his Xmas tree looking over his left shoulder) I did not want to annoy you M. My respect is to big for that. When you show up at FIBO again 1 day, l will prove that, 100%.
@MilosSarcevOfficialYoutubePage Жыл бұрын
@@erikverstrepen3373 ...by all means you don't annoy me... But, to answer your question: NO, posing issue is NOT CLEAR... I stand 100% behind that - OLD JUDGING was by far better. In each round judges were judging PHYSIQUES... Symmetry round EMPHASIS was on shape, balance, proportion, aesthetics... Muscularity round EMPHASIS was on strengths of physiques in 8 mandatory poses "Posing" round was not judged by posing ability...but by PHYSIQUES (!!!) in poses other than mandatories...where athlete can show his strengths in poses he chooses (Arnold's Mentis pose, numerous Twisting Back variations, side double biceps, many other "Arnold"-poses, Sergio's Victory pose, Zane's vacuum or other signature poses...Larry Scotts poses...ALL BEING MR OLYMPIAS that are remembered mostly by poses OTHER THAN MANDATORIES! Pay attention...Goggle it and see for yourself.... That was being judged in "posing round"...not dancing...movement...choreography... entertainment value...emotional content....or whatnot. It was ALWAYS about JUDGING THE PHYSIQUES! In recent years bodybuilders are discouraged to do anything special in their routines....as they know - IT WILL NOT BE JUDGED (even though it supposedly is...according to Bob, who was the initiator of dropping both: symmetry and posing round...😏😣😔). So, they just come on stage and give the same mandatories they already presented earlier... There is much more to bodybuilding than that. It would be BY FAR BETTER for the sport, audience, entertainment...etc...and - EVERYBODY KNOWS IT! Simple question is: Should we encourage bodybuilders to do MORE (for the audience, sport, themselves - by exploring more professional presentation of the artwork they've invested their whole lives (read: their PHYSIQUES)...or LESS - by telling them - don't worry...just come onstage and do whatever (repeat your 1 minute morning presentation hitting just mandatories and maybe extra pose or two...). You don't have to be a genius to realize what is A RIGHT THING TO DO...For the benefits of the SPORT!!!!

@MilosSarcevOfficialYoutubePage Жыл бұрын
Look....I already know - it is a losing battle for me...but I will stick with it. It was NEVER about judging posing routines, moves, choreography....or what people state her - DANCING ABILITY... Far from it! It is about judging poses OTHER THAN MANDATORIES...considering them as a part of judging... Think first 4 Mr Olympia's: Larry Scott Sergio Oliva Arnold Frank Zane Which poses do you remember glorifying them? Any mandatories? Of course, having a memorable posing routine (while displaying those poses and making your body look even better than any mandatory pose you must hit) would certainly be a BONUS. But, I never EVER said - posing round should be judged for a routine...but for PHYSIQUE presented in that routine! As a matter of fact - when I was an official commentator for Mr Olympia, seeing King Kamali's routine that certainly rocked the house - I criticized him for "dancing" and not hitting any poses...

But, if I can tell Jay Cutler to his face - he shouldn't have been top 3 at the 2007 Olympia and that even his mother (if she was a judge) couldn't give him that victory...or tell Ronnie when he asked me before what I think - telling him you are lucky I was not judging...etc... - I think it is an INTERESTING conversation. And while I was one of those who believed that Nasser should have taken Dorian in 1997 - I still didn't judge...and asking Steve, who is 100% unbiased, regardless of friendships - it was good to hear. When I look some of those comparisons between Nasser and Dorian from that show....I can see how Dorian could still surface to the top! And...exactly do to Steve telling me that I am out of my mind thinking that anyone other than Dorian should have won 1993 Olympia...when I watched pictures and videos of battle between Dorian, Flex and Shawn...I can see why Dorian won...even though I like their physiques better. That's why Steve is best in what he does...and my go to...if I have any doubts....

Milos is right! Make posing a scored part of the Olympia eg worth 5-10% of the score. & with all respect Steve is wrong when he says posing is like dancing and not about muscle...it requires great muscular control to hold the hardness in posing, the striations, keeping it all under control in the transitions etc. At the very least, if we can't have a scored pose-off then make a seperate posing section for a cash prize, like they used to have. & if mondy is an issue than reduce the top prize by 25k etc and apportion that to the scored posing section/competition.

@Muscle and Fitness-please read-hello there Dennis, I am a nobody but I experiment a lot with bodybuilding when it comes to frequency and volume and I am here to propose that Ramy can absolutely come back and his tissue will regrow especially with all the special supplements. However, you guys cannot go back to train the way you were. There are many training styles I use and they all work but what they have in the program is quality and restriction, some people like Ramy need restriction. Here is an example of what I'd do-There is low volume HIT, 1 set to failure but 1 set to failure of what, not. 2 inclined chest variations, only 1, 1 flat chest variation, 1 lower chest variation. Back is the same, all areas targeted once like Dorian did. Then you can use higher volume, 1 inclined variation but 3 sets this time at 80% intensity per set. This is the blue print, I promise you. ANother example is hitting only 3 parts of the bicep with 1 exercise each-brachialis, short head, long head. Triceps-only 1 exercise per long head and shortt head. ALL BODYBUILDERS OVER TRAIN-I think Ramy's body burnt out! this B.S about neuro this and this and nerve damage etc is most likely not true
