Its a very hard thing, having to shoot your own. Euthing from a vet costs hundreds by comparison, and just say, if it is still on its feet but something broken, they can struggle against the needle, and thrash about as they go down, not a nice thing to watch, a bullet is much cleaner.
@BelindaTN3 жыл бұрын
@@louisecassidy5991 Only if you know how to do it, have the appropriate gun for the job, have the skill to do it and have the emotional strength to do it. Otherwise, you can shoot that horse full of holes before you get the one that kills him. I know someone and their horse that happened too. It was brutal. I keep money set aside to have a vet come out to euthanize. I found my horse with a shattered leg one morning. It was a blessing that my vet could and would come out. It was his day off, but he came anyway. I am forever greatful for that. If he could not have come, I would have had to call my husband home from work to shoot him. Mr T was most likely quite out of it and unaware of what was happening at that point ... It sounded bad and looked bad, but it was probably worse to watch than it was for him at the time. Very, very sad. I lost my 30 year old heart horse last June in a very similar way. Only time a horse breaks your heart is when they cross the Rainbow Bridge.

He gave him dignity while standing by and watching his horse go through a series of seizures, gasping for air, eyes rolling back into his head to film for views on KZbin. Absolutely disgusting and I hate when people flock to someone that hasn’t the slightest clue on how to care for animals. He may pet them, and don’t forget that fly spray, but if you don’t know what to do in case of immediate emergency, you shouldn’t have an animal. That horse obviously hasn’t had any care in a very long time. Look at his hooves. His skin. His weight.

@@ranchycowgirl88 There will be a point in time where an animal will slowly waste away, no matter how much care you give them & how many trips to the vet you take them to.
