USA is following second world war strategy to fight Chinese aggression. Applying multiple war theater's to exhaust chinese, Advantage is you do not have to fight at chinese pick , you decide which theater to open. Chinese is not oiled war machinery like german during 2nd WW . But to do that they have to cut off chinese support like russia and iran. Occupied and fragile russia is big advantage.

US has poor credibility. US is more of a bully than a responsible superpower. Even its own democracy has become suspect after questionable voting in the last Presidential election. US terming minor irregularities in massively rigged Pakistani election further erodes US status. The US democracy is erratic & dysfunctional. It is widely influenced by the Corporate honchos, NGOs, Think Tanks & Lobby Systems which only gives US Congressmen exalted & arrogant importance about themselves rather than the true picture. That completely blurs their vision both of domestic problems & of international issues. No wonder, following Collapse of the USSR in 1991, the US miserably failed to successfully lead the world as the sole surviving super power even for one decade. One thing common between all the US led interventions is the spectacular failures in which they have ended: Afghanistan, Iraq, Syria, Libya, Sudan to name just a few and Ukraine won't be any different. This has not only sullied US image but brought its allies in deep trouble in Afghanistan & Ukraine. Equally incompetent & arrogant US media failed to notice that Pakistan is bleeding US in blood & treasure through terrorist-training camps based in its illegally occupied territory of Baluchistan (Quetta Shura). Had it even nudged US politicians, to demand Baluchistan's legal status, it would have spared US enormous loss of blood & treasure. Closing the eyes on Mumbai terrorist attacks where the terrorists were ordered from Pakistan to kill Westerners & ignoring safe placement of OBL near Pakistani Military Academy rightly ended in defeat & ignominious expulsion of US from Afghanistan. Glorious arrogant sleep of the US also helped China get vital Indian Ocean access CPEC through territories illegally occupied by Pakistan. China also annexed Spratly Islands. US is a failed but destructive superpower.

Not a good idea to proliferate weapons around SEAsia. Japan, Australia, Philippines, India r enough. US is wary of India as it has a strong defense, now offense to reckon with. Let US deal with Taiwan with Pacific allies. India shouldn't get involved unless invited. On SWest, Arabian Sea & beyond, I'm wondering if India can work with SAfrica. Now that Indian defense is invited into Africa, it's a great opportunity to turn those countries around to Democratic rule. Will take decades & effort. Youth need to be in schools and not armed as they are now. Islamic, Communist, Tribal. So heart breaking to see the state of affairs in many nations in Africa. 😢
