This is my 1st exposure to your work. I want to say I am MOST impressed in that this track is both pleasing/interesting, AND the least FM-sounding of any Yamaha 6-operator synth demo I've ever heard. Really nice job creating and using sounds that are not among the 15-20 or so typical sounds people tend to associate with FM synthesis.

Hello there! Yes, I've A/B'd the TX802 with the TX7 I used to have. To my ears the differences were almost inaudible. Maybe the 802 was a tiny bit cleaner, as with less noise but otherwise they both had the same punch and rawness. So the extra features of the 802 won for me in the end.

Dang. Look at all those through-hole carbon film resistors. The claims that old FM synths were really noisy suddenly makes a lot of sense. My reface DX doesn't have any noise, but then it seems to sound less analog than a lot of older FM synths.

Καταπληκτική μουσική! Οι ήχοι με την FM Synthesis ακούγονται ακόμη μοντέρνοι... Έχω το DX7IIFD, την keyboard version του TX802 και το αγαπώ ιδιαίτερα...

I concur, it does have a heavy Depeche Mode vibe to it. Somewhere between Violator and Ultra era. I can fully imagine Dave G. laying out vocals to this track. It also sounds original too though. You did an amazing job here Woof! Maybe you should get in touch with Dave and knock out a track or two. Even if you don't like DM, it would look great on your bio, and possibly launch you into something big. I'm now sold on the TX-802 knowing what this synth is truly capable of in the right hands, and with the right tools. Simply because of the fine work you did here to demonstrate it's capabilities. Congratulations!
@MrWoofer8 жыл бұрын
Hey I like DM. I used to listen to them a lot (amongst many other things). However this specific track doesn't draw direct inspiration from DM. At least not intentionally! :) It's the general vibe it has that may to some remind of this fabulous band. Music we compose is always inspired from bands and musicians we love and admire, that's natural. DM and many other artists are some of my many inspirations. I always try however to compose music that sounds original.

Hi guys, I need help! I purchased this wonder but it has no plastic card with all the infos about editing we can see here at 02:16 and 04:51! I used to be in a Yahoo group about it, but Yahoo decided to erase the activities of all the groups, so no more files to download!😢 Would, please, somebody scan it back & front in a good graphic resolution and share for me so I can print and spray plastic on it? I really would appreciate it! Unluckily I don't know how I can give in change, please ask about vst or similar, here I am luckily more expert and have some things on my hard disk..... Thanks in advance!
