Hmmm, your reaction to the growing pool of oil was just a wee bit different to mine, when the same thing happened to me while faffing about with my 205 GTi gearbox. I think I told it I would 'See You Next Tuesday' while prefacing that with accusations of 'Ducking' (or something that sounded similar!). Ahhh...... the joys!! 😂

Hello Danny ! Awesome vid man, Where did you buy your extractor tool to remove the 5th gear? I've bought alot of garbage tools on Amazon etc to remove those damn gears and none of them does the job. Not enough steady Nor enough thin to catch the gear... 🙄

Great Video , I have Celica track car with the c60 gearbox. Third gear synchro failed. Should I get it reconditioned or just source a 2nd hand box? Also heard you can add the MR2 LSD to it, is it worth it? Please let me know thanks in advanced.

I'd love a shorter final drive on my 2ZZ so I can get above 6k more often and not hit 60mph in second. Don't have the space or knowledge to do this kind of work though

Anyone can tell me if MR2 LSD driveshafts are the same length as the Corolla Levin non LSD driveshafts?

I would keep ukspec 1st,2nd and 3rd... Then jdm 4th and 5th... That way u have longer 3rd and super close into 4th which will boost high end acceleration

Do you like the 5 speed better than the c60 for racing? I have a 2zz mr2 with c60, and i never use the 6th gear on track anyways (and rarely ever 5th)

What's the FD there? 6th gear is pointless unless it's like >5 lol Just looked it up, 4.5 would be better yeah, but we can only use 3.9 or 4.3 in the MR2 championship
