Congrats on the first drive! My guess is 232hp/187tq to the wheels.

Don’t forget to have a fan blowing directly into the side scoop where your intake is during dyno, otherwise hot IAT= 15 whp loss.
@BoostedorNA2 жыл бұрын
Thx, hopefully this helps. The IAT sensor was hanging in the engine bay for the other dyno.

Well done. Keep in it until you're satisfied that its where you envisioned it.

I envisioned reliability, the extra power was a bonus. Time will tell!

@@BoostedorNA in my past I've downed 3 MR2s: '85, '88SC, and 91T. All bought new. I kept the 91 for 11 years. Now, in my later years I lust a Spider with a K24 and a 6-speed. Until I resolve that lust I'll content myself to watching and rooting for those who do. Meanwhile my old Golf R serves me in an ok manner.😉

I wanted the MR2 turbo, got the Celica GT-Four instead. It's a pain but I still love it!

Great job bro. I'm gonna guess 235hp 💪🏽😎 Looking forward to the next episode.

Are you based out of Florida? This looks like Orlando lol. If you are then you should hit up the local autocross with that beast.

I'm in Lakeland. Once I get it sorted, I'll hit up some events. Shoot me some places!

Where did you get the TRD side skirts? Also, what are the specs on those wheels(width, diameter, offset)? If you don't mind me asking.
@BoostedorNA2 жыл бұрын
Those are TD3000 skirts. Fronts are Motegi MR116, 17x7 40mm, 4x100, rears are Enkei Kojin 18x9.5, 45mm, 5x100

Going to guess 231whp 187wtq if you go use the same dyno. K24 head is a bottle neck and the dic just have more duration than 08 tsx cams

Sooooooo whst was the dyno numbers?! I guessed 239hp & 199tq 👌🏾💎😎🔥

@@BoostedorNA I was close on the hp… hey are you going to make a video about it one day🤔
@BoostedorNA Жыл бұрын
I just checked and you're the closest! I am, but the footage is limited. I was packing/moving so I just dropped it off and picked it up. It's got a hiccup at 4500 so I was gonna reshoot while they fix and test it.

Hey brother good luck with the build. I had a question. Where did you find that rear crash bar?
@BoostedorNA Жыл бұрын
I got it from someone on Spyderchat forums, I think username phattires. There's a few guys there making some.
@torew012 жыл бұрын
Nice! I see you have one more MR2 in the garage, is that stock? I didn't understand why you drain the brake fluid. Why not just vent the brake lines in the normal way?
@BoostedorNA2 жыл бұрын
Yes, stock...K24 turbo starting soon. I never opened the brake system so I assumed pulling fluid from the reservoir would be easier.
@waseembux75372 жыл бұрын
That sounds so good. Got a 2zz in mine , is the k24 worth it?
@BoostedorNA2 жыл бұрын
I think so. The 2ZZ/C60 made the K24 look cheap by comparison.

Hey man quick question about the shifter set up. I have the version 1 and man i honestly dont know when the car is in gear ive adjusted quit a bit and still feels really sloppy. Does the v2 feel any better? Especially since now the counter weight can be welded back onto the shift selector
@BoostedorNA2 жыл бұрын
If the 5 and 6 speed feel the same stock, the v2 shifter feels worlds better.
@simplyklean2 жыл бұрын
@@BoostedorNA cool man i got a 5 speed in there but i dont even druve the car mufh just because of how bad it is right now shifting gears. Feels like im flipping a coin. Thanks for the info gona be getting that v2 cable

Also consider the shift selector and detent springs mod, it makes a nice difference! kzbin.info/www/bejne/kHuVZ2mwopmYh6c

Did you ever end up getting this setup dyno'd?
@BoostedorNA Жыл бұрын
I did but the alternator died on the dyno. A friend said he's sure it'll make 245-250 wheel. I'll try to get back to the dyno in a few weeks if it's not too busy. kzbin.info/www/bejne/gX3FemCNm7aaraM

What's ur wheel specs with tires? i just purchased my mr2 i want a flust fit without rubbing
@BoostedorNA Жыл бұрын
This was an aggressive setup, 255/35/18 on 18x9.5 Kojin rear from my Celica, it rubbed.
@juanmireles9850 Жыл бұрын
@Boosted or NA I see what do u suggest to be a aggressive setup with out rubbing. 17x8 rear and 16×7.5 u think that would be a nice flush set up
@BoostedorNA Жыл бұрын
If I can find a set, staggered 17x7/17x9 215/40 and 245/40. The offset would have to be roughly 38front/35rear. If you go too low, it'll likely rub still on hard braking/turning.
@juanmireles9850 Жыл бұрын
@Boosted or NA thank you, I'm going to do a little research to the the best fit
