Absolute quality again from you and your subs. Always really enjoy the detail you go into so we get a good adea of what’s going on. The screed was top notch and I really hope that cat flap was blocked off when it was wet 😂

I first saw liquid screed in the 90s working in Germany an articulated lorry from Holland turned up and pumped what looked like custard in amazing stuff I'm sure the drying time was shorter for it , having done a bit of conventional screeding myself I can appreciate the advantages of using this

I've got the gypsum based variant last year. Awesome stuff. Had to actually turn on the underfloor heating on low to let it dry b/c of cold weather and sub-optimal ventilation.

Exactly the same here, mate. I left mine for months and couldn't believe how little it had dried out when it was tested. Got the UFH commissioned and it was fine in about a week! Thank you for watching, Alex. Take care.

Why would you have a screeded floor done any differently nowadays, that is ace? Sand and cement screeding is hard graft, All Martin had to do was point his pipe and clean up afterwards! 😮 Great job again Rich and Matt getting it all ready and Adam showing us the process. See you next week! 👍🏼

Great work as always - thanks for the videos. Apologies if you explained it and I missed it however I was just curious why only the kitchen section upstairs had underfloor heating - probably a very obvious reason I’ve missed - like rooms below / existing floor?

We had the same liquid screed with rubber flooring laid on top - despite sanding the tiny nibs from the screed show through. You'll prob be ok with it but flagging as i wished i spent longer on it...

Hi Adam, the layer of DPM is that strictly needed as you've already layed one under the slab and had floor tanked ?
@SteveP595 ай бұрын
It’s not a DPM, it’s a separation layer. All the manufacturers of PIR recommend this. It stops any seepage of the liquid screed. The DPM in this build is situated below the PIR insulation and should link up with the DPC

@@SteveP59 Thanks for the reply 👍
@RJ-cc1fz5 ай бұрын
What’s under the foam board? Could it be just compacted dirt or gravel?
@amazing4515 ай бұрын
@@RJ-cc1fz Hi, if you mean the insulation board there's a concrete slab with a special tanking system laid on top as it a basement. Under the concrete slab there is another DPM which was laid on compacted gravel with sand laid on top to act as a blinding layer and prevent the DPM being pierced.
