Hi Craig. I have really bad rust on bottom of bathroom radiator. Used sandpaper but hard to get rid of it. I have 2 indoor cats so can you recommend any safe rust removers with low VOC's please? Also the Zinsser bullseye contains biocides so i worry about using it as it isn't safe for my cats or myself to breathe in. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks ❤
@MrandMrsDIY2 ай бұрын
I would have recommended using Zinsser bullseye, you may have to look further into a rust remover with low VOC, I would try phoning or visiting a local builders merchant or a supply chain, such as B&Q, wickes etc

Hi Craig. What a fantastic video. Subscribed! I'll be painting my first radiator with enamel paint over the summer. Please tell me the correct type of brush to use (bristle type), so to get a smooth finish. What brush did you use? Cheers.
@davidscott87616 ай бұрын
It appears to be the following paint brush you used (?), but which size is it? Natural Bristle Round Paint Brush 1 pc - fi40 mm (or 50/55 mm) Is your paint brush only for chalk paint, or can it be used with enamel paint (which I've bought)? Thanks.

Hi David, thanks glad you liked the video and subscribed, we have lots of other painting videos be sure to check them out as prep is very important when painting. As for brushers, go to French's website they have just a small range of brushers all of which would work very well when painting radiators or similar items

You used a satin finish for the radiator. How do you feel about a gloss finish?
@MrandMrsDIY8 ай бұрын
Yes if it's the look you want, you could use Trim Paint and get it shinier! Or even put some tuff top coat or finishing coat on the top afterwards for that extra protection and sheen finish
