I knew a guy who was an Aberdeen, MD police officer for one day. He didn’t quit because of demons or ghosts, but because he and his trainer found a very decomposed corpse behind a gas station in the heat of July. You can imagine how bad it smelled and looked, and that was it for him. No idea what he’s doing nowadays, but hopefully he’s doing well.
@michellehaberman5918

I was a property manager for several apartments and homes when I got a call from a tenant that several days ago, they heard a thump, and now there is a bad smell. It was July, no air conditioning. Poor man had a heart attack. It is one smell you never, ever forget. Hats off to people who clean that type of thing up.
@rondyreeves4772
@rondyreeves4772 Ай бұрын
@@michellehaberman5918 gosh, that’s always heartbreaking. To die without any loved ones to wonder where you are and why they’ve not heard from you? That’s really sad. I remember a story about a woman who was found dead in her condo TWO YEARS AFTER SHE DIED. She had money in the bank and all of her bills were on autopay. It wasn’t until her bank account ran out and she became ‘delinquent’ on her utilities that people started asking questions. Even more heartbreaking was that she was on her couch, a couch that was near her Christmas tree that had a few still-wrapped presents. They were clearly meant for someone, so how was she dead for two years without anyone knowing it?! That poor woman truly had no one in her life that cared for her. I hope that the afterlife is treating her with far more love and kindness than the real world did.
@rondyreeves4772
@rondyreeves4772 Ай бұрын
@@michellehaberman5918 slightly amending my comment - she did have people who cared about her but she had, for a reason unknown to us, cut contact with them. She was two years behind on her house payment and her skeletal remains were found when the bank went to repossess the property for non-payment. Here’s the link to her wiki page if you want to read it. en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Joyce_Vincent

Most places I have been ( which isn't that many tbh) seem to have a memory. If you pay attention, it's like big or traumatic events leave an impression on a place and then when you go to or near by that place you can pick up on it. Sometimes you can see things, hear things ( most common in my opinion), and sometimes even smell things that have happened there before. I usually find it interesting unless it interferes with the reason why I'm there. It's like the place wants you to know it's story.

Of course it was a ghost. What else could it possibly be? Nothing else makes sense, nothing else checks all of the boxes. At some point, you have to quit trying to pound square pegs into round holes and accept that in a very few cases, something outside of our usual understanding is happening.

I have been a police officer for over three decades and in that time have experienced some weird things. Crackheads, gang bangers, command staff, stuff like that. Anyway, on Thanksgiving Day, 2005, my partner and I responded to a possible burglary in progress at a local library, which was closed for the holiday. There were motion detectors within the building and something had been detected in the basement. Upon arrival we made entry into the building and crept down into the basement, which was a large, well lit area. All the doors were closed and locked. We then sliced the pie into a hallway which leads off the main basement area into the mechanical room. As we eased around corner at the end of the hall there was a person in black pants and black hoodie with his/her/its back turn to us. He appeared to be reading a bulletin board with with safety brochures attached. Reading safety brochures? Who does that? He's too far away to give commands to so we need to get closer. We start creeping down the hall on this person who just keeps reading the brochures. I feel like I'm in the scene in Ghostbusters where they sneak up on the librarian ghost. Just as we're about to issue the normal commands he spins around and is wearing a black ski mask. He then runs into (please don't run into the mechanical room) the mechanical room and into (please don't run into the tunnel system) tunnel system underneath this complex. We have no radio contact underground and this guy can run like a antelope. Luckily, my partner could run like a cheetah and was on him like a spider monkey. After a brief struggle we took him into custody and secured him in my patrol car. My vehicle was equipped with a video recording camera which was aimed at the backseat to record the prisoner, for his safety and mine. Upon arrival at the jail, I got out and secured all my gear in the trunk, took our little goblin into book-in and was done with him. When I got back in my car I always check the recording to see if the prisoner did something stupid. In the video he is sitting there and you can see me open the trunk. He then leans over towards the camera with an insane chuckle and says, "the swordsman is coming." Then leans back and looks normal again. Overall it was a strange occurrence. Four years later at a diner we had a guy approach our table and say "the swordsman is coming" and then walk away. Four days later one of our officers almost had to shoot a sword-wielding nutbar. Ah, the joys of law enforcement.

I should not be listening to this at work. I work as an overnight armed patrol guard at a pga community that hosts national golf tournaments. And I seen some weird shit that that made me so uncomfortable that I refused to get out of my patrol car for literally 8 straight hours... would not even go to the bathroom, thats how freaked out I got a couple times. Everything from a girl with black eyes, to strange fog that follows you and whirls around you, to large heavy things crashing down to the ground next to me for no reason. Even some of the parks and pools just feel like I am not alone. Like the jacuzzi that comes on randomly at 3 in the morning

Don't crack windows or open doors for black eyed kids..
@michaelswartz4903
@michaelswartz4903 3 жыл бұрын
@@luciq1007 the window was down and that night in particular was just very off. Things started going awry around 12:15 am that night. My patrol area is on the north west side of the property. I have to patrol a minimum twice a night 20 communities, with 9 pool checks 1200 homes 3 inner gated community checks, 2 apartment complexes and one assisted living retirement center. All along a 4 mile stretch of main road that all these communities branch out from. Well I had started on the south end that night and at the end of one of those I go down to a half finished cul-de-sac pull a u turn and then move out to the next community. At this cul-de-sac I was suddenly surrounded by fog. On my patrol vehicle I have spot lights on my light bar. I turned the one on to the right and the fog was so thick I could see past 3 feet from the car door. But I could see that it was swirling in a big circle right in front of the passenger side open window. I got out and walked to that door to see what it smelled like.. maybe it was smoke and not fog. I couldn't smell anything but I could see the swirls now farther away from into a person, a human silhouette in the fog itself. I felt uneasy and put my hand on my gun, undoing the first safety on my holster as I backed up around the car to the driver side, got in and drove away never taking my eyes off that figure. I turned left out of that community and went into one of the apartment complexes. I have to drive down through the parking lot and the first one is a dead end. This is where I came across the black eyed girl. As I came down the parking lot she was sitting on a parking curb on the left side between suvs directly above her was a light pole that has not worked since that night. But that night it illuminated right where she was sitting. She had a cell phone in her hand but there was no light coming from the phone to illuminate her face. My windows are open all the time during my shift unless it's storming or raining. So I said hello to her. She looked up at me. She wasn't a child she was a young woman, about 20 or so. Attractive, she was pale skin, with black hair wearing all black and as her eyes met mine they were black. I am the distance equivalent to a mid size car trunk to hood there was no white to her eyes. And she moved her mouth as if to say hello but nothing came out. I went all the way to the dead end, asit hooked 90 degrees and I could pull a u turn. At this location I could see between the suvs where she should have been sitting except she wasn't there. Until I came back around, just as the suv stopped blocking my view there she was again still sitting on the parking curb she stared at me unblinking as I drove by and again this sense of I am in danger came over me. So instead of finishing my patrol of that neighborhood I went back to the entrance hung a left and raced 3 miles down to the other side of my patrol zone. I drove 50 mph 3 and a half miles and just before I get to the north side of the property with an armed entry gate guard I see an open construction gate, and I shine my spot light at it and there she was standing next to the gate looking at me as I drove by looking at me like... you know you have to close this. At that point I said f this. I went through for 3 hours I would not get out of my car for anything. One other strange thing happened that night.. it was about a month ago... the day after I first commented I discovered my father had died in a car accident... I now believe that everything that happened that night was an omen of what was to come.

I'm a retired police officer, and usually we work off-duty details as security for extra income. The freakiest place I ever pulled off-duty security for was an old junkyard near a swamp. Nothing paranormal happened, but the mist that comes off the water at 2 or 3 in the morning, along with the shadows and weird sounds is enough to set anyone on edge. Additionally, we have to search many buildings in the middle of night in the performance of our duties, and the creepiest buildings were always big industrial facilities with many large open areas with machinery and then a large office area. People would be surprised at just how many shadows a single flashlight can throw around.

The moment he said the Capital Theatre in SLC Utah, I seriously dropped what I was doing and had to sit down. I was about to take a job at the Theatre as a Ticket Shift Manager but ultimately didn't because of the commute. This is honestly one of the most surreal moment of my life.

I used to dance at that theater when I was a kid, and some nights rehearsals would go fairly late. I used to always have a recurring dream about being chased through the theater by a burned person, and thought I was crazy. It wasn't until one of the other dancers and I were in the changing room during a late night performance that he turned to me and asked if I had seen the ghost at that theater. It scared the hell out of me when he described the ghost that had been in my nightmares, but then we started noticing doors opening and closing on their own during the evening performances when we were in the basement. I stopped dancing there pretty soon after.

I know this is 2 yrs old, but I had to comment. Theaters are often known for housing spirits, sometimes multiple. Especially old ones. I was waiting for the description of a fire, since oil lamps could easily catch fire and large panicked audiences would have insufficient escape routes. I think some spirits are attracted to the ethereal nature of theatre- actors playing characters and stories told and leaving the experience. I encountered 1 spirit in my college theater. Nothing major, just saw a figure late in the night with no one around. Anyway thanks Mr Ballen! Love these stories!

You really know how to tell a story!! I loved it. I must say that the story has a bit too much "Hollywood" scares in it. But that doesn't matter. It got me from beginning to the end and love to see more from your channel. I myself live in the Netherlands and have a ghostly story of my own; My girlfriend has an apartment in which I always felt watched. Often I woke up in the middle of the night with a feeling like "ready to fight" .. very pumped up, and that was new to me. I never had any sleeping problems. One day my girlfriend was out and I was taking a shower. I left the door open, when I was drying myself in front of the mirror; the open door (and hall way) was about 1 meter to the side of me. All of a sudden, in the corner of my eyes, I saw a human figure walking pass the open door just next to me. It took me by surprise because my girlfriend shouldn t be back and this was somebody much taller, with a quick walk like he/ she was rushed. So I looked in the hall and all the rooms but nobody was there. It was so eerie. I had some more weird experience before finding out that the apartment we were living in was part of a headquarter of the SS (Nazi Party) in WO 2 and that locals tell stories about the many families (mostly Jewish families) that they looked up in the basement for transfer to a concentration camp. But that a lot of "prisoners" were tortured, raped or killed in that housing complex before (n)ever reaching the concentration camps. Horrible stories all in all. My girlfriend never experienced anything, but the downstairs neighbour has some of the same things happening that has been happening to me. Especially the constant feeling of being watched and waking up Fired up in the middle of the night is such a stress on the human mind. We now mostly reside in my house, as I prefer to avoid her apartment.

I used to work in a hospital on night shift for years & I was used to wandering around at night through my department as well as theatre as we were semi attached. They have the same doors on each theatre there’s a long hallway behind all of them where various instruments etc are stored so they can come get something during surgery. So I was down the one end of orthopedics which is probably the furthest away point from anyone or thing in the entire hospital, & it’s a big place, a major hospital. As I was walking along I noticed the very last one of the doors was closed, on this same type of hinge, it cannot move by itself, right? So I come walking back & I stop dead, the doors wide open, pushed completely open so the hinge has activated, of course there’s only minimal lighting on, rooms pitch black, I left what I was doing, all but ran all the way down the corridors to a lift, got back to my dept & all but fell over myself telling my coworker what had happened. She knew I was telling the truth. Every time since then when I went up there, I’d look at this door and think ‘please don’t, just let me do this then go!’ P.S we always respond to the paranormal with fear, it’s just an instinctive reaction, but just because something happens, doesn’t mean it’s always bad.

Dude you are a great story teller excellent video. In the military I was a night CDO/OOD (5pm-5am for 2 years) for a small USN/USMC base in the middle of nowhere. We've seen and heard some weird things we always went and checked but we chalked it up to the woods, or just old building noises. We've seen shadows in the cameras but they were old CCTVs. I think the scariest thing we encountered was a black bear in the parking lot lol.
