This story reminds me of that Edgar Allen Poe story where the character killed someone and then buried the body under his floorboard. Then kept hearing a heart beating before he finally told the police what happened. It was his heartbeat that drove him mad and to confess.

It is hilariously tragic that this man was apparently enough of a believer in the Buddha's teachings to beg for help, yet completely glossed over the first 5 precepts. Then later in Ghatva Sutta, it was explicitly warned against as well, word for word: Having killed what do you sleep in ease? Having killed what do you not grieve? Of the slaying of what one thing does Gotama approve? [The Buddha:] Having killed anger you sleep in ease. Having killed anger you do not grieve. The noble ones praise the slaying of anger - with its honeyed crest & poison root - for having killed it you do not grieve.

There are still places that I can not vacuum up his fur. I have a paw print I'm getting it tattooed on my shoulder where he would put his paw every morning to wake me up. Nah, he lost his mind. There was no indication that he was a serial killer and people who aren't serial killers don't just sever a stranger's head after murdering them. He didn't like cats or dogs but there's no evidence that he killed them. This man was probably a person who was always a little "off" beforehand and then (for whatever reasons) was triggered and lost his mind. "Evil" or sadistic killers have little or no conscience and would not begin seeing "ghosts". He likely had an underlying mental illness that went undiagnosed and untreated for a significant amount of time.

When I was 5-years-old, immediately after my grandmother died (I attended her Open Casket funeral), I used to regularly get telephone calls from her, whenever I walked past the beige, landline telephone in our dining room. The year was 1970. On the last time she called, my whole family was in the dining room, and when she asked how I was doing, I told her I was doing fine, and that everyone in the family was present, and also doing fine. The next time the phone rang (as I walked past), when I picked-up the receiver I heard, through the ear piece, a musical aria, as if it were sung by angels.

The police had a body, a weapon, a motive, a suspect, and a confession. That would be enough to secure a conviction. The bit about the murderer claiming the victim's head was haunting him... yeah, I wouldn't argue the scientific validity of that to a judge. That information might be used as psychological evidence of the murderer's guilt haunting him, but an actual decapitated head missing from a grave haunting him? I would check the guy's fridge first.

after taking all of that into account, it’s no wonder they believe this is truly proof of paranormal activity.

@kayleigh36488 ай бұрын
There’s no proof or any type of evidence in this story other than a police officer claiming to have been pushed. This guy was already crazy, so it’s not farfetched to think he imagined all of this
@MarioGoatse8 ай бұрын
Why is that? Because a mentally unwell murderer told a fanciful story and one officer claimed to have felt a push? That's some very shaky evidence. I wouldn't want to present it to a court and attempt to convince them that it's proof of a real paranormal event. It's much too easy to poke holes in claims that aren't verifiable.
@Ben-iz9ud8 ай бұрын
@@MarioGoatseproof in court is and should be a much more stringent standard. But just think about it more locally to you. If you knew someone who was an honest guy, never really said anything about supernatural stuff, doesn't really have a reason to lie. I certainly have people I know that I wouldn't believe and people that I 100% would believe. I guess it would be on his colleagues they probably know his character best.
@MarioGoatse8 ай бұрын
@@Ben-iz9ud That's not how proof or evidence works. That's just an anecdote. If I just "took their word for it" nobody would ever go to jail cause they'd just say they didn't do it. People lie. They exaggerate. They get mistaken. They forget. They get coerced. They get influenced. A person's word is not enough to prove such a massive claim.

I just stumbled upon your channel and I love your story telling! I’m originally from Taiwan, I remember this story… I don’t remember/know that cab drivers offered lodging to passengers. I know that Liu saw that she was alone, so he started formulating devious thoughts and ended up inviting her to stay with him to save money. Unfortunately, she agreed. A famous forensic scientist at that time worked on this case. His name is Yang Jih-Song. He worked on many high profile cases in Taiwan and had many interesting (some paranormal) stories. He worked this case alongside Dr. Henry Lee, another renowned forensic scientist, who has a cadaver farm in the US.
