The police, when they arrived, were great and they had responded as quickly as humanly possible to our initial 911 call, but in the fourteen minutes before they arrived we were on our own. Through teamwork in fighting off the intruder and wounding him with our firearm, WE WERE ON OUR OWN. @Schwarzvogel12 жыл бұрын
@@drtmi8789 That's quite gauche of you to say that he needs more range time just because he didn't kill the intruder. The whole point of self-defence is to *stop* your assailant, not necessarily to kill him. What happens to him after you stop his attack or not is immaterial at the time of the assault. Did Mr. Jenkins manage to stop his assailant before the perp was able to harm him and his wife? Yes. So it sounds like Mr. Jenkins' training and range time paid off pretty damn well... and since the intruder didn't die, he isn't potentially facing a homicide or even murder charge due to overzealous prosecutors who like to hammer innocent, law-abiding people with more fervor than they go after career criminals. Moreover, he doesn't have to live with the fact that he ended another human's life, because unless you are some sort of psychopath, actually killing another human being will change you forever.

Our country has allowed and pushed divorce and rewards single moms as hero’s. When things go bad everyone says where was the dad. The dad was disrespected and made to leave and pay the ex and given a few weeks in the summer and every other weekend in most cases. This is even if the wife cheated found a new boyfriend the dad pays and loses his children. We need at fault divorce where a judge and jury get down to why divorce is the only answer and who is at fault. If a man beats or cheat he goes to jail for 6 months then pays when he gets out. If a woman beats or cheats she gets the same treatment. This will greatly reduce people stepping outside their marriage.

My weapon is my only protection since I’m totally unable to get away. I thank the good Lord for muscle memory. Thank you Colin! Last week my car and I were surrounded by 5 wannabe gang bangers. I had just purchased a little bit of groceries for my homemade dog food for my home K9. They must have seen me go into the store with my cane and my efforts to stay standing as I got my cart to shop and hold on to . When I came outside- there were two next to my drivers door sitting on the curb in my handicap parking spot . I said hello to the two men and waited for them to get up and let me open my drivers door . They wouldn’t, so thinking they were dense I asked them politely if they could scoot over and they laughed at me and then three more showed up on the passenger side of the car / I turned on my car alarm and they laughed at me again! I couldn’t scurry away fast enough and I tried but they followed me. I don’t carry a big purse I only had my debit card - I yelled to them to back off and they wouldn’t. I then drew . Dropped my cane and told them to back off. Thankful that they did. During this whole 3-5 minutes not one human came to help me. Not one

@finngamesknudson1457 Жыл бұрын
Not surprised no one came to help. Unclear from your story how many others were within range to see or hear, but more importantly people are dense and do not recognize situations unfolding right before their eyes. Example would be my ex wife who almost got us shot during a traffic stop, didn’t know what I was talking about when I aborted getting gas to drive to neighboring gas station (to borrow phone to report assault in progress) and didn’t recognize bodies when two guys came flying off car in next lane on the highway. More commonly now that I live in an open carry state, it is clear most people are utterly unaware of those open carrying right next to them - not talking don’t care, simply don’t see it.

When I lived in California I went through the process to get my CCW permit. From beginning to end it took about 9 months, during Covid. It was a long process, most of which was just waiting but it was well worth it to be able to carry in such a restrictive state. A few months after getting my permit I ended up moving back to Texas. Even though Texas was becoming a constitutional carry state I went through the LTC (License to Carry) process because of the extra protections you get as well as the extra places you can go which is a lot more. From beginning to end, the fingerprinting, class and qualification it only took 10 business days. Carry everywhere you can legally. Even if you live in a state where you currently have to have a permit just to carry, go through the process and carry. The process is well worth it. You are your own first responder.

Is the district attorney one of the soft on criminals and hard on self defense shooting that George Soros has helped to get elected all over the country? Florida’s Governor Ron DeSantis just had to suspend one of those district attorneys in the Tampa, Florida area. George Soros has spent 100’s of millions to get these soft on crime and criminals D.A.’s elected, another one that was recalled was in San Francisco where he had just let the criminals takeover the streets and of course the crime wave has been horrible with murder rates soaring. There’s the one in NYC as well that was going to try that elderly Dominican Republic 🇩🇴 man who immigrated legally and he became a US citizens 15 years ago as well. This was caught completely on camera and the backlash from the NYC citizens became huge and the bad D.A. dropped the charges. Of course there shouldn’t have ever been any charges but these D.A.’s are causing havoc in the big blue cities across America and in other red states too. It was such a traumatic experience on him (the self defense stabbing w/ box cutter) plus the fact he spent a week in the horrific Metropolitan City Jail because the D.A. tried to go after him for second degree murder and his bail was set originally at $500,000. which his family couldn’t pay but they got it dropped to $50k and he was released. That added to the trauma he was already facing plus he moved to upstate New York (just to get out of NYC) he decided that once he’s through seeing his therapist and doctor for his trauma induced PTSD that he’s returning to the Dominican Republic 🇩🇴 because he doesn’t feel his rights are safe in America anymore. That breaks my heart to know because this man came here legally 30+ years ago did everything the right way, worked hard for his wife and children then in his golden years the horrible leftists have treated him so bad that he’s leaving to return to the D.R. 🇩🇴 because he can’t trust America because of the deep state government we’re under right now. I’m sorry to hear about the same happening on the OKC case and I’d bet the D.A. is one of these rogue leftists George Soros funded candidates that won and its horrible for so many reasons. It could be that the D.A. is just a weak kneed conservative that was afraid to stand up for what’s right but it’s not right in any case!!!!! P.S. Please forgive all grammatical errors, I have M.S. so my eyesight is horrible (blurry/double vision) some days better than others plus it’s hard to use the keys on my iPad because my muscles shake sometimes. Sorry if my comment is hard to read or understand.

I'm 72 years old. When I was growing up in the 50s & 60s, we had bullies and the mentally ill. What we didn't have were mass shootings, or kids with no respect for human life. We had prayer in schools, we recited the Pledge of Allegiance every morning at the start of the school day. I remember kids as early as 2nd grade bringing Mauser and Arisaka rifles their fathers brought back from the war, to show and tell. We would just get on the bus and when we got to school we gave it to our teacher and went out to play until first bell. When I was in high school in San Diego county California my sophomore year my buddy and I were chosen to be Sargeants at Arms. "Cool" we said, "What does that mean?" "It means" we were told that we would sit out side the cafeteria and "guard" the door so only the students participating in the political convention, could get in. "Cool" we said and the next day my buddy brought a Japanese Nambu Type 99 machine gun DEWAT, to school and we set it up on a picnic table outside the cafeteria with a belt of M60 blanks laid across it. When the Vice Principal came by and saw us he asked "What are you two fools up to now?" We explained the situation to him and he walked away shaking his head and mumbling to himself. There were no SWAT TEAMS no "counselors" no panic. We truly lived in another world then.

I am sure there were mass shootings. They just weren't reported by the fear to entertain news networks.

Everything that this man said is spot-on as to what it's like to be faced with a would-be robber/intruder, we are totally on our own in that moment, it's all or nothing. Those whom think otherwise may one day learn the hard way. Kudos to this man for doing exactly what needed to be done, stand up and fight for your life! Stay in the fight and protect what is yours at all costs, no mercy for the guy on the side of the room he brought it all upon himself for entering the space the way that he did. Game on!

Great video again Colion, I love all of them. I have two tiny nitpicks: 1. If you're gonna concealed carry, don't wear the ads on your clothes outside of your home. Your designs are pretty cool and I still might buy the shirts to wear around the house. 2. You mentioned "voting". Voting no longer works in the U.S., as the year 2020 clearly showed everybody. Keep up the nice videos and I am subscribed.

We used to go hunting as kids and around lunch time, we would empty our guns (single and double barrel shotguns), leave them cracked open and head into the store to get food. Nothing out of the ordinary. But we were also taught (sometimes with physical punishment) how to handle a gun safely and how to respect people and weapons. We never brought guns to a fistfight and we damn were taught consequences.... The human makes the decision, not the weapon.

@@djlabs1975 Gun crime goes up and down. In the 70s, few states allowed people to carry guns. Now, many states allow people to carry guns. You must be agreeing with those who say allowing people to carry guns has resulted in less crime. But the new SCOTUS ruling puts a stop to all arguments against carrying (obviously also owning) guns. We have the human right to carry tools of freedom and self-defense. FDR was the first to go after white people's guns. He also had the blood of (at a minimum) 120,000 Jews on his hands. Some historians say the real number is many times that. There is a Jewish organization, not unlike our NRA, that fights for the human right to defend your life. With guns.

Back in the day, children’s exposure to firearms was a responsible, safety, protection, food, and plinking oriented event. Nowadays, it’s violent movies and video games. It revolves around military, police, and crime. No wonder everyone fears firearms, sees them as a source of horror and death, and utilizes them for that. Obviously violent video games don’t impact violent tendencies. HOWEVER, it does create a stigma and perception of firearms, just like it creates a stigma and perception of war, just as all media does for any topic or real world references depicted. No child with an exposure to AR-15’s based in the real world, growing up with an understanding of using them for hunting, target shooting and self defense, would believe it to be some mass murdering weapon of war only military personnel should have. They’d understand pretty quick that it’s purpose ISN’T just to hurt people, it’s merely a tool. They’d understand other firearms can do the exact same, and banning the AR-15 does nothing but set a precedent for future guns to be banned, and is just another step in eroding gun rights. Thinking on it now, I think when I get older and have kids, I’ll probably introduce them to firearms in person, minimizing their exposure to it through video games until I explain the gravity of it, how to be safe, and the reason for owning and training with a firearm. I’ll teach them to respect it, to understand what it’s capable of, and what law abiding citizens use it for- the pleasure of target shooting, the ability to provide and our responsibility to protect. I guess I better pray God blesses this country long enough for me to be able to even buy firearms by then, even if most of this country scorns Him…
@Blue_Collar_Colonizer_17762 жыл бұрын
My daughter is 6 and my son is 4. They both started shooting a bb gun hut I recently bought them each a single shot, bolt action, kids sized .22 rifle. They'll be exposed to weapons because of me but even if I wasn't around it's still bound to happen. If I can teach them properly now when they get older they'll have a better grasp on the reality of firearms. Lord willing they can pass that along to a friend who doesn't have someone to teach them. They're our future after all. Eventually we will depend on them as a country and they need to have at least a basic knowledge of firearms.

It ultimately comes down to this...we are all responsible for our own self defense because if there's ever a situation like this where you're going to need police they absolutely will not be there. Anybody across the world should have the right to own a gun for self defense. My question to any lawmaker out there would be how do they expect somebody to be able to defend themselves from somebody with a gun without a gun? There's no possible way to answer that question other than "they can't". I love watching videos of criminals getting shot by a good guy with a gun. Makes my day!
@sickofcrap89922 жыл бұрын
The government doesn't want you protected. They want you dead. I have no idea what they'll do when only the "bad guys" have guns. Do they think they won't turn on them? Do they think the cartels won't turn on them? Pretty short sighted IMO.
