Famous actor Idris Elba spearheaded a knife ban campaign emphasizing the need for heightened government attention to combat the surge in knife crime across the United Kingdom by banning them.
Idris Elba launched this Ban Knives campaign with a symbolic exhibition outside Parliament Square in central London.
The display featured a meticulously arranged installation of more than 200 articles of clothing, symbolizing the individuals tragically lost to knife crime in the U.K. over the past year.
The campaign advocates for an immediate prohibition on machetes and so-called "zombie knives," characterized as bladed weapons exceeding eight inches in length.
As part of the newly introduced legislation, initially disclosed last year, the sale, possession, manufacture, or transportation of "zombie-style" knives will now be deemed illegal.
This move by Idris Elba really highlights the importance of safeguarding our fundamental Second Amendment rights.
It's a poignant reminder of why we must never compromise even an inch on our Second Amendment.
Our AR-15s, the gun control crowd calls "Assault Weapons," are similar to their "Zombie Knives".
As we witness calls for bans on seemingly any sharp object, we must stay vigilant, recognizing that the fight for our freedoms, especially the right to bear arms, is perpetual.
This story exemplifies why the gun control crowd will never cease their efforts.

They are a monarchy. In their generational mindset, they are subjects of the crown. They are subject to whatever the Crown/Parliament decrees. In the US, the generational mindset is that the government is subject to the people. We've been forgetting that over the years. We even have people who's first thought is "What is the government doing about this?" I've heard it said that the biggest difference between being a subject and a citizen is being armed.

Imagine a future where you have to register your chef's knife(the long pointy wide knife), or santoku(vegetable knife), just so you can cook dinner. The people in the UK are headed there right now, and have been for some time. And there is no going back for them now, because they have all been literally reprogrammed. This is their normal now, their "common sense". The UK is going through some very tough times right now, too. Their economy is near 0% growth, not even a whole number. The people there are getting desperate. Their desperation is being exploited. Those who are emotionally compromised are easy marks; easy to deceive, easy to manipulate.

Tbh, The Royal Family don't actually do much of anything except act as figureheads. They have the power to sign in laws, and if they don't, that prompts a "constitutional crisis", and they effectively get voted into even further irrelevance. As well as keeping their jobs, pretty much all the major royals (with the possible exception of the now King) go shooting regularly. The late Prince Philip (back in '96 when the handgun ban came into effect) said "If a cricketer, for instance, suddenly decided to go into a school and batter a lot of people to death with a cricket bat, which he could do very easily, I mean, are you going to ban cricket bats?” The problem isn't the Royals. It started off with a knee-jerk reaction to two tradegies by a supposedly right wing govt. which the left then swooped on like vultures when it was their time in power, because of couse they did. You already need ID and be over 18 to by a butter knife in the UK, so I have no idea what more Mr Elba thinks he can add to that. Could it be that a mayor who massively defunded, denigrated, and hamstrung his own police force, encouraged huge levels of unchecked immigration into the city, sponsored a collection of failed economic policies, as well massive cost of living, lack of male role models, prevalance of "Grime culture (think gangsta rap from the '90's but shit) etc... are the issue? The Royals are effete and irrelevant but it's the politicians that are driving the UK into the ground, on both sides of the Commons. You are entirely right about the 2a though. Don't give your guys a fucking inch, because they will certainly take a mile.

I dream one day of moving from the UK to the US. When I was young and impressionable I believed americans should have their guns seized. I was shown Bowling for Columbine in school and it terrified me. Years later my dad took me out with an air rifle, was hesitant but went and I turned out to get really good at it, hitting bottle tops of the top of branches at great distances and fell in love with. I then found out we could own guns in the UK but were licensed. Started researching and hearing the pro gun side of the argument from america and slowly but surely completely did a 180. I now own shotguns and rifles but don't have the full freedom to enjoy them, I can go to ranges but the state can take them away at any moment for the smallest reasons. I thank god americans have been strong enough to hang onto these precious rights.

UK does have other problems that have nothing to do with gun control. You could give people private gun ownership tomorrow and it still wouldn't fix the problem. UK is in a culture clash and being so insular it created a lot of infighting. I mean the UK is known primarily (as far as tourists are concerned) bars and bar fights. Stereotypes exist for a reason even if they can be hyperbolic. Add a lot of immigration and legislation that restricts personal freedom and this is what you get. They've purposefully made things the way they are just so they can keep squeezing harder and blame it on circumstances out of their control. Typical WEF/NWO bullcrap. They've got one big puzzle and they spread around random pieces everywhere until everyone has the same picture.

What else do those 4 other countries have in common? They gave up on whatever 2A equivalent they once had. It's because knife crime is such a big problem in the UK. The murders with knives are often much more gruesome as well. Unfortunately, knives still need to take into account disparity of force. @brendonw456

@@Benjanuva Well yeah...because UK gun laws are so much stricter. If you ban knives though, all you're gonna do is end up with criminals crafting their own. Banning pistols certainly does make it more difficult for people to use them...but banning knives just endangers law-abiding citizens. Anyone criminal can make a knife in 5 minutes...if that. I mean you could technically make one with a brick and a window in about 1 second. As long as the perp as has something to protect their hand, they now have an effective knife. So there would need to be bans on...pretty much all clothing items for this to have any kind or "positive" effect. All bandages. Duct tape. Work gloves. Etc. Nevermind that it's ludicrous to think that outlawing a cooking utensil is going to end well in any way. That's literally an attack on citizens' ability to feed themselves too. Unless someone says there's going to be exceptions...well what the hell is even the point of trying to perform a ban if it can be bypassed by the words, "I'm hungry"?

Peace cannot be through ignorance or deception, peace cannot be forced, enforced or legislated only war can. There is one known workable way to bring peace into physical existence. Living in peace requires an understanding of how to do so. The economic, political and legal system is globalised, our species lives under rule, we are denied peaceful existence and that is not consensual. The men in charge of The Estates and deceptively named Law Society and anyone enabling them are in violation of The Law. They can never win the war against The Law as The Law never changes however their actions and policies have to in order for them to maintain an eternally losing battle. Law is a scientific term not a legal one. Language has been used to trick our species and steal our consent. Being Lawful or that is to say peaceful requires being true by thinking true, speaking true and doing true. Consent is the litmus test of morality and the foundation of morality is The Law. If one intends peace then morality is centred in the inherent duties of the First Protector of The Law. If one intends war then morality is centred in the inherent duties of the First Violation of The Law. the following is a proper explanation of The Law and how that relates: "Most of what we are is non physical, though, our lowest form is physical. All life on our planet has the lowest form, the Body. Our Body is an Animal and the other type of Body on our planet is a Plant. Bodies are bound absolutely to Natural Law, which is the lowest form of true Law. Natural Law is a localised form of Law and is derived from the Laws of Nature. Natural Law is the finite and specific foundational control structure ordering the actions and interactions of species, members of species, and the material sources of a planet. The lowest non physical form of what we are is the Mind, which is a Process. There are other forms of life on our planet that have both a Body and a Mind, however, so far as we currently know, there are no Plants and only some Animals that have a Body and a Mind. The lowest forms of Mind, Instinct and Emotion, are predominantly bound to Natural Law. The next higher form of Mind is Intellect which is bound predominantly to the Laws of Nature. Intuition, the highest form of Mind, can be bound or not to both Natural Law and the Laws of Nature separately or together, or to higher forms of Law altogether. Intuition is the truest guide for our Selves. The next non physical form of what we are is the Self, which is an Awareness. There are relatively few other forms of life on our planet that have a Self. The Self is not bound to any form of Law other than One's Own Law. It is the only form of Law that cannot be violated. The foundation of what we are is the highest non physical form of what we are. The highest form of what we are is the Being, which is an Existence. The Being is not bound to any form of Law originating within Existence. The Being is bound absolutely to The Law. Existence, and the Laws of Nature which are the finite and specific foundational control structure ordering the actions and interactions of all elements within Existence, cannot Be without The Law being The Law. So, what is The Law? In a word, The Law is options. Definition option: a thing that is or may be chosen. The word 'option' does convey the idea of The Law in its most basic sense but does not clarify all of what The Law is. Free Will does describe how our species experiences The Law but does not convey all of what The Law is. In clarifying what The Law is; The capitalised form of the word 'The' indicates the following noun is a specific thing. Law is the finite and specific foundational control structure ordering the actions and interactions of all elements subordinate. Together, the words 'The' and 'Law' (in that exact order,) is a proper noun indicating; the singular form of Law that all other forms of Law and all other Laws are founded upon, the singular foundation upon which Existence is founded, the singular foundation upon which Non Existence is founded, the singular foundation connecting Existence to Non Existence, the concept of options, and Free Will. However one thinks, believes, guesses, hopes, or "knows", whether by a Big Bang, a creation story, a computer program, an expansion of consciousness, or whatever means by which Existence could have come to Be, the option for Existence to not Be also exists. Existence and Non Existence, the original options connected by the very concept of options, connected by The Law. Outside of space and before time. Extra-Existential. As we experience The Law in our Being, The Law is Free Will. The First Protector of The Law is Freely Given Consent. The First Violation of The Law is Theft of Consent." - Goho-tekina Otoko

@@daverobson3084 Yes, there is (not was) a problem with police corruption and abuse of power in Denver and Aurora, and maybe in a couple other police departments in that area, but most of the state has good cops. Qualified Immunity was only an issue in those localities, which cover maybe a quarter or less of the population of the entire state. With Denver and Aurora, the issue is more about cops NOT doing their jobs and just taking certain matters into their own hands, while leaving most of the law unenforced. My area, Parker, doesn't have problems like that directly, but does have an issue with thieves coming in from Aurora because the police there don't do anything but harass teenagers.

Then I watched how things unfolded; how "incrementalist" disarmament is still disarmament and the only end game for the ban advocacy is when the only people who have guns are their security guys, and the criminals. Thus, particularly now that they are more willing to say the quiet part out loud (hell yes, we're coming for your AR15, your AK...) forget it. Not giving an INCH on the Constitution. Quit asking.

@@XtheMagusDang, I guess I need to hold off on the fallout nuke launcher until I can pay the 200 dollar tax stamp. On a more serious note. The only weapons I accept bans on are ones that are crimes against humanity to use. Those are the ones I don't even want the government using. (Nuclear/indiscriminate mass destruction, radiological, chemical, biological) These are the ones that are typically outlawed or frowned upon internationally in conventional warfare, often for their indiscriminate, unpredictable, cruel, large scale, and imprecise nature. So yeah, I don't mind banning things like nukes and nerve gas because I don't even like the government using those either. You can't defend your home or community with a nuke because you won't have a home, community, or even a city left to defend. The truth is, any time we want to protect anything, we use arms to do it. The most quintessential arms in any era are modern small arms which in today's context means modern firearms. It's annoying though when ordinary and common small arms, especially firearms, are compared to nukes that literally remove cities from maps in the blink of an eye. At least if defend something with a firearm, that something still exists beyond molecules and atoms.

Criminals aren't concerned with high quality steel that will last for years and retain an edge for long periods of time. All they want is something that will jab into someone that they can throw away later. That can be done with anything that's pointed. You can't legislate and regulate that away. It takes in the vicinity of a year from starting the process to get your competency which allows you to purchase a gun, and THEN only apply for the license. Only once you get the license, can you go and pick up the gun from the dealer. you also have to carry your license card on you at all times if you carry your gun, or if you want to buy ammo.. it is a very strict system..... However, we have RAMPANT gun violence - between 20 and 30 people are shot and killed EVERY SINGLE DAY.....and it is mostly done with unregistered guns, by unlicensed shooters - Almost as if criminals do not care about the law.... shame on them 😞. The only people who suffer from stricter gun control, are the law-abiding citizens, who want to have guns for defense / hunting / sport.

I thought you were making a joke about being from South Africa. The entire process you stated in earning a firearms license, is just like NYC. I should know, took me 11 months obtain my CCW and R/S permits.

Stricter gun control only benefits criminals and politicians who want to push sinister plans or keep people in control.

I thought Maryland was bad. After training, it can take about 2 months to get the Handgun Qualification License (HQL). We can't buy a gun until we have the HQL in hand to show the gun dealer. I am waiting now. I think it takes about the same time for CCW. In the past, it was pretty much not possible to get a CCW in MD. I'm getting mine now just in case they change and change the law again.

I did a deep dive into UK knife crime and knife laws. Their laws re knives have become more and more restrictive with zero results in their country’s safety. I interact with ppl in UK who think it’s absolutely crazy that I carry a knife everywhere every day. It’s illegal to carry a lock blade knife or anything bigger than a 3” penknife. You are exactly right.

Yeah they ban/restrict guns & then their knife crime & stabbings go to all time highs. Just goes to show that the item or tool isnt the problem. Thats just the easy scapegoat. Thats easier than addressing deep rooted family, social, mental health, & justice sytem issues

I was still shooting a old 20 gauge with double triggers and a metal buttplate. And yes I pulled both triggers all the time. I was so happy with the recoil of my first automatic 12 ga shotgun with an actual rubber buttpad.

Access to means of violence is not the problem. The motivation to employ it selfishly is. I started martial arts at seven, learned knife safety, helping gramma in the kitchen at eight years old, and Pop taught me gun safety with my first .22 rifle at twelve. I got bullied a few times at school and immediately put a stop to it personally, and I did my time in after-school detention for it, too. Sure, I had teen angst, unfair treatment, rejection, and all the hallmarks the young inevitably suffer through on the road to adulthood. Never once in my life have I attacked a person, thrown the proverbial first punch that is. These men have never been the victims of violence, I assume, because once one has, he learns that no one is coming to save him.

Everyone has a pocket knife. Our highschool had a rule against blades over 3 inches, switch blades, and butterfly knives, (theres a state law against switch blades.) But you could carry your little folding knife for opening stuff.
