Several mowing channels I’ve watched have slacked off on raking, and they’re edging before mowing or weed eating, which makes no sense to me, unless it’s for longer content! (I fast forward thru most of it! Work smarter not harder!)🤔🤷🏻‍♀️ Nice of the neighbor to show her appreciation, even if the homeowner didn’t. But that better not be the final pass! I'll mow and bag edges if it's really tall since here in NZ we have kikuyu grass and it can be a challenge even to find the edge under a foot tall pile that actually grows a foot out over the concrete haha.

Still my fav American mower :) Extra points for those pauses for foot traffic and as always thanks for removing the clippings. I don't know if you have them over there but here in New Zealand we have recycled wool garden bags. Larger than yours and with side flaps you can fold over to cover them. Reusable unlike those plastic bags which I know rip on things (I do this myself as well). I was just noticing how you took a rest and heavy breathing before lifting the grass bag. The wool ones you can drag across the law and path as well as fit more in them. Easier on your back. And you'd not have to buy bags anymore. I prefer walk behind mower cut finishes but your stand on makes this kind of lawn much much faster. I notice just about no Americans use walk behinds for videos tho.

Glad you found this place and that was a nice statement, that you could make it about as good as the neighbors. That was already thick grass, you were double cutting or even quadruple, to get it neater. I like that you found the bench where people could sit outside and made it ready for use again. Sidewalks usable, utilities findable, walkway near the door now accessible, neighborhood pride restored. An excellent renewal, in time for Spring.

So the woman who said thanks for mowing wasn’t the homeowner or tenant? If the front yard was this bad I can only imagine the backyard was even more terrible. Everything you did was perfect. What I especially like is that you rake the sidewalks and street and bag them before you blow the remainder back onto the lawn. That way the neighborhood isn’t covered in grass and debris. Impressive result
