I bought an identical Rocket GT, to the one you reviewed and I couldn’t agree more, with the “get to know it” statement I bought mine used, it’s a 2021 and had 2035 miles when I bought it in early November. It’s January 8 now and it’s got 3500 miles on her. I’m still getting to know her, but I love it more with every ride The 1st owner put a werx exhaust on it. (I was going to ride a speed master next) I fell in lust with this Rocket, as soon as I cranked it up, that werx exhaust is intoxicating As I was leaving the dealer parking lot, waiting for a break in traffic to take my test ride, my leg holding the bike up was shaking uncontrollably, I was so intimidated at 1st But you’re right, it has incredible low speed manners BUT….that TORQUE….is incredible I love your channel and would love to see you guys cross the pond and do some ride reviews here in Texas (or anywhere else in America) I think you’d enjoy doing some unrestricted riding Keep up the excellent job

Hey guys! Great work on this review. I have been intrigued by this machine ever since they released it. I have seen the GT in the flesh but I have not sat on one yet nor have I ridden one. I haven't really wanted to because I knew that if I did I may well end up wanting one. Ol' Man, Mate, you looked right at home on this machine! I really do like how they have engineered the rider triangle so that larger riders can be comfortable too. The cockpit, well... It's not bad. I think it's clever how they designed and laid everything out, but personally I think the display should be a bit larger. Or go with a full TFT. But I think I could get used to it. One thing that really got my attention was that Corbin, the legendary seat maker here in California, has created a touring solution for this bike that includes hard bags and a nice batwing fairing. It looks awesome! But oh, the cost. Aye, there's the rub! The cost will keep me away from this one I 'm afraid. Great bike though. I like this new Rocket 3 way better than the previous gen. Thanks again for the review. Cheers!

Another awesome job at a review. Thank you. I really loved the GT when I tried it out a couple of years ago. The looks, the power, the handling and the rider comfort are top notch. Two things killed it for me, and for my wife who would be the passenger. She found the passenger accomodations cramped and uncomfortable. The big reason is the passenger pegs are too high, maybe due to to the exhaust setup. The other is the lack of a "proper" rear fender, which is a pet peeve of mine on several newer bikes. I ride in some very messy conditions, and the rear setup would make real mess of the passenger and the back end of the bike. I know its not a touring bike, but a touring version with these changes would have me beating down down the door at my dealer.

A question beside: with what camera did you film this video ? I am impressed by the composition: new bike in front of an old castle like elegant house. Beautiful landscapes that sourround the subject presented. Additionally of course perfect information - Thank You !

Hello Darcy & Mr. Ol'Man, Thank you for this very detailed video. Very impressive machine that makes you dream. Currently with a GTR 1400, my big legs have a little trouble (I'm 1.85m) and I hope one day to be able to own a Rocket GT. Sorry for my bad English, I’m French. Thank you for your channel ✌🏼👍🏻✌🏼👍🏻✌🏼👍🏻

I'm waiting on delivery of a 22 GT Rocket and eagerly listen to a lot of reviews. I enjoyed this one, and as I am 6"2', similar to the reviewer, it's good to know he finds the forward foot pegs comfortable. What with the handle bars being wide, and the mirrors that stick out, I gather there wont be as much lane filtering going on which is a little disappointing, but then swings and round-a-bouts.

Might need tyres with a bit more tread. At 5’8” I’d opt for mids and a larger screen for winter.

Great video .. how do you do the voice audio recording when you are talking about the bikes ...is it like a wireless mic set up that connects to the video camera cheers mark

I have watched a LOT of videos on the Rocket, and it seems like in half or more of the ones from England the streets are wet and gets the biked all mucked up. I guess it IS that rainy over there!!

Great review. Would have been nice to see a bit more 'on the road' camera work perhaps. Where was the town you filmed in? Looks a lovely & historic town. The panniers, though not very big really suited the bike and didn't detract from the styling or look like an afterthought like some do. Great work as usual.

Enjoyed the review. I believe Triumph quote dry weights so that 294kg figure is likely to be more like 340 kg fully fueled etc.

Wonderful review !!!!I own the 2020 Goldwing DCT Tour and love it !!!! Just love it!!! The only reason I did not order the GT is lack of storage and accessories due to its fresh bike on the market. I am sure, as the bike gets older, more and more stuff will be available. I need good/large side and top cases. This bike is the most beautiful machine I have ever seen. When I saw her in the showroom first time, I was magnetized to her. Its with no doubt an artwork. Triumph did a superb job. Now, we will have to see its reliability with this 3 cyl engine and clutch/transmission.

My Xdiavel delivers 52-55mpg, sounds incredible (too loud with the termigoni and baffle out) but, sport is a bit snatchy some of the finishing looks better on the Triumph. For me the shaft drive is ideal but a belt drive on the X is the next best thing. The pannier setup is better thought out as I had to go after market. I do think both bikes are very similar and are best for comparison as power cruisers.
@MrDarcy-OlMan3 жыл бұрын
Yes we need to get on the XDiavel for sure. Thanks for your interesting comments 👍🏼

Hi, being that you have tried both. The GT has the handlebars closest to the rider, but the seat is lower. The R has the handlebars further away, but the saddle is higher. For a person of short stature (166cm or 4,44 ft) which of the 2 allows him to have a less extended driving position on the front (and therefore more relaxed)?
@MrDarcy-OlMan3 жыл бұрын
Definitely the R bro 💯
