I own this bike and i have done 53000 km on it now. Been to Himalayas and highest motorable road in the world in Umling La on this bike. Its just built like a tank and still looks gorgeous af. Love this bike and it resembles very closely to CB1100 too. I got the same paint scheme as cb1100 rs black with grey stripes.

FINALLY! I’ve been waiting for this. I’m so glad you’re reviewing the GB350S (CB350RS). I currently ride the H’ness CB350 (GB350) and would love for viewers around the world to take a look at Honda’s new array of its 350cc models and you’ve made that happened! I hope you’ve tried out the GB350 & GB350C (CB350) whilst you’re at it in Japan. Not a speed demon these machines but a proper cruiser for sure. More torque and horsepower than the Royal Enfield’s array of 350cc models and a definite thumping bopbopbop sound too for sure. I love RE but Honda’s engine reliability and refinery beats RE overall in specifications and smoothness etc. However, an RE is an RE, the bike’s character is still unbeatable.

I have the Australian version of the GB350 and have done 5k km on it. It is great: lots of thumpy character without any vibrations. Only thing is that it can struggle with steep hills and overtaking. I hear they are not Euro 5 compliant which is why they are only available in a few countries. They are very well made and I like the seating position and the heel-toe shifter.

I quite like the X350 and X500. I am thoroughly enjoying these Japan videos, having lived there as I told you in my comments last video. The GB350 is a good little bike. The Kawasaki Estrella 250 has been in the Asian market since 1992. I had a Suzuki DR250SH in Tokyo. When I was over there the GBP was worth 250 yen. In 1992, I bought a new Honda XRV750 Africa Twin RD04 for 3,000 GBP when they were over 5,300 GBP in England. Great video. Nick

I'd be happy to sell mine if you're willing to import it haha. Mine is the same bike, but in red. I'm selling because the local dealership just closed and it gets quite the hassle to ride it to the dealership in the next city every damn time. Apart from that the bike is pristine, regularly serviced and tuned, I have the service records and we'll maintained. It has only done 6000 kms on the odo so it's basically new. Let me know if you're willing haha.

Since you liked the GB350, when you're back in the UK, try to seek out a Honda XBR500. It's from the late 80s and was Honda's take on a modern big single roadster. Even rarer (Japan and USA only) was the GB500TT, which was basically the same bike but dressed up as a Velocette (perhaps the first of the retros?) Google a photo if you've never seen one - I think it's definitely your style.

7:20 That Harley wasnt sold in India but in China. Its just a rebadged benelli /QJMotor bike. The Indian one is X440, a 440cc air cooled long stroke bike made from ground up which is the most authentic attempt at making a single cylinder Harley so far, even Harley's own bike like Street 750 feel less like Harley then the x440. It's 440cc because that's half of their old 880cc sportster. That bike so far is India exclusive.

I’d say the Classica styling is far better, but I can see the market that the Honda is aimed at. @@ChancellorBeeHaw I think the Honda 350 is retro...similar to the Hondas of the late 60s and 70s, whereas the RE Classic is 1950s and early 60s in appearance. Small correction: the X350 and X500 are actually Harley's collaboration with QJ Motors from China, which is not sold in India. Harley's exclusively Indian endeavour is with Hero MotoCorp, and is called the X440 - a long stroke, air and oil cooled single, which is closer to the Enfield 500s.

So it _was_ the GB350! I'm sure that would be a good seller in the UK now. The market is certainly there with the new Triumph 400s and the multitude of Royal Enfields.

Earlier this year Honda put in paperwork to register the ‘GB350 S’ trademark in the UK, as well as in Europe, suggesting that at least one of the GB350 models they sell in India is heading here.

A lot of Honda models are nowhere to be seen when i venture in to a uk Honda dealership. Always seems to be a shortage or some kind of manufacturing issue. So i can't see them falling over themselves to flood our market with CB350s anytime soon. But if they do, can we have the CT125 at the same time please 😅

Hi stunning video. Could you explain where to rent a bike in Japan and the driving license requirements. Thx.

Thanks! You need an international driving permit. You you search IDP on google it’ll tell you which one you need. I just searched bike rental in Kyoto and this was the first place that came up. Was a bit pricey tbh

350 looks nice. But they should put something like Hornet parallel twin into this design to get someowhat Z650 or Interceptor. That should make a little bit more sense to a rider like Darcy. Classic Enfield or Hunter compared to Honda, Guerilla 400 probably not. This must be one of finest single cylinder bikes for the price in the world. Come Goldstar, but that's quite a lot bigger and has two ignition sparks.

12:40 "Coke flow"? Is that ice cream in Coke? We used to call that an ice-cream soda. We had them occasionally at home (in London), but I've never seen them in a restaurant.

@IndigoJo yes that’s it, a coke float is what I’ve known it as. Just a scoop of vanilla ice cream in a coke. So good!

The Harley X500 thing is a Benelli Leoncino in different clothes. Definitely a miss on the styling. Shame as the Leoncino it is based on are great underrated bikes!

Japan looks a fantastic country. Apparently it’s one of the most densely populated in the world. However I don’t get that impression watching your video. You might see a few SR 400s out there. I believe the Japanese can ride a 400 on a learner licence.

@@MrDarcy-OlMan Actually, I don't care for it that much either. I live at the 5600 ft. mountain area (1700 meters) BUT it's 10+ degrees hotter down in Phoenix area where 2 of my sisters live. Now THAT'S HOT! Lots of air conditioning!

@@MrDarcy-OlMan I have to apologize to you Darcy. I went down to Peoria, Arizona (next to Phoenix) to test ride some new Indian Scouts (and others) and the temperatures were over 108 degrees F ( 42+ degrees C). I about melted! A good thing it was this week because last week the temps were hovering around 116 degrees F (46-47 degrees C). I don't know how those people can live in that heat! Well, it is dry and not humid, so that helps, but still....!

I can confirm that you're more likely to run into a hornet rather than a bear. I've seen probably more than a thousand hornets in my every day life. And only a couple of bears in zoos.
