An interesting thing.. I think this one isn't given to the army, but given for the MVD troops. I don't know why there is some different, for each group? I think it would better suit to be universal, but what do I care? I since moved on from that part of my life. Nice film.

Im reading a lot of comments here in regards of this Russian meal being better than US MRE's. I have eaten a lot of MRE and they always fill me up. Not all are healthy but man, they give you a boost in energy, or a big dump.
@gundog4314
@gundog4314 10 жыл бұрын
MusikCabaret True. Everything is always just an opinion as far as I'm concerned. I too have eaten hundreds of MREs. Granted they were no where near as good as the current type. Usually IRP reviews are "love them/ hate them". All I can say is of all the different types I've been fortunate to try so far they are pretty good chow. Try one someday! Cheers

+gundog4314 There are more than ten variants IRP. For different conditions of services, and seasonally. There are mountain, for pilots, special forces for enhanced diet for sailors to the FSB, officer's, etc. Just a few plants produce the IRP therefore may not be packing, but in general the same dishes. By the way, it is a natural drink adapton energotonik based plants. All of instant drinks IRP in natural disturbance. There is also a IRP-B militant who take the battle out.

If you use it to heat up a small tin of water with tin foil as a lid (if not a lid) and switch the main out then yes. I add a few sticks or kindling just to make sure.

You cooked these on a stove. Does that mean that the Russian Soldier needs to set up a camp stove to get hot food? As I understand the American GI just puts water in a bag with his MRE to heat it. Still looks like tasty food for military troops though. Delicious. LOL

Beef and peas is the Russian version of ham and limas. Wait, a couple hours and fart. Remember, like America. Its contracted out to the lowest bidder, some contractors would take commercial items and place them in the rations to save a few bucks.

Kasha is NOT rice! Goggle will help you to learn about Kasha!
@gundog4314
@gundog4314 10 жыл бұрын
Matthias Feilke Interesting comment. I did take your advice and research Kasha. Kasha is a breakfast porridge. Porridge can be any grain, legume and even corn. Last time I checked Rice was a grain. Now as for the translations, I obviously don't speak Russian and rely on the translations provided by others. Doing reviews are always a challenge to get 100% accurate unless you have first person experience with them, like I do with eating MREs for years. I encourage you to try to eat, film and post a few reviews of your own to your channel I would enjoy watching them. Cheers

No its Ok. sometimes we call "rice porridge" like "Rice"(рис), "oat parridge" like "oak"( овсянка ) its more shorter Cheers
@RexyCraxy
@RexyCraxy 9 жыл бұрын
Matthias Feilke Don't trust Google :) "Kasha" (may be translated as "porridge", "mess", "gruel" and so on) is rather a generic term (a collective noun) and in actual Russian it is used with adjectives, like "rice kasha", "buckwheat kasha" etc.
@DmitriEE
@DmitriEE 9 жыл бұрын
Yes it is, but for "rice kasha" you need other type of rice (like in Sushi), You can find that dish here: www.google.ee/search?q=%D1%80%D0%B8%D1%81%D0%BE%D0%B2%D0%B0%D1%8F+%D0%BA%D0%B0%D1%88%D0%B0&espv=2&biw=1536&bih=764&source=lnms&tbm=isch&sa=X&ei=M45TVdi_GIHSsgH6sIGoBA&ved=0CAYQ_AUoAQ It is different. A side dish of rice, we call "Rice"
