Number one, never leave fuel in the heater over the summer unless you treat it with Seafoam first. Number two, change the fuel filter every year (mine is down in the tank) It's also a good practice to check the fuel line for being dried out and having cracks on the ends. Diesel is thicker than kerosene and it makes it harder so suck it out of the tank when it cold. You may want to thin it with alcohol or adjust the pump so it burns correctly. You shouldn't be getting a smell if it's running right.

5 gallon #2 diesel and 1 gallon gas thins diesel so don’t smell up with fumes because some say you can run jet fuel in them.

Have a newer Craftsman that wouldn't start or stay lit. Cleaned the nozzle out real good and it fired right up.

Spitting fuel means that the fuel pump flow needs adjusting on the back next the gauge with flat blade screw driver, under troubleshooting

Mine doesn’t have one of them. It worked without it last year but isn’t starting this yr I got spark and I got diesel

What if u changed the photo cell still isn't igniting new filter everything is a go except kerosene might be bad as everything else is working we don't get it. We worked the psi too and still not igniting. What eider can it be other than kerosene or the board?
