I got stuck in a Bog with an M110, REME hooked me up to another Gun & bellied that as well so they hooked us both up on a straight bar to a Cent Wrecker & It pulled us both out with no probs, the power of that Centurion was incredible. Good job Lads 👍👍👍

Watching you work on Abbotts,43's,Chiefs and Cents brings back memories for me. Only advice I can give is to be careful with the K60G engine (Abbott), they had atendency to shear the Scavenge blower drive shaft, which causes the engine to fire once then just turn over (exhaust gases can't get out of the cylinders). If the coolant pump isn't turning (driven off the blower front gear set) then the drive shaft has gone . A hint is a "jumping" rev counter needle as the broken shaft ends drag (rev counter is powered by the tacho gen on the input side of the blower shaft.

@uncleshagnasty Жыл бұрын
We also used small tins of a highly combustible agent we called " releasing oil " it ate through rust, and you couldn't use it in a confined space . You just used a cap full ( like a teaspoon full) on a rusty bolt, and it sometimes helped.

@@1chish I am armed to the teeth with a keyboard yes, you could say pedantic even yes, but certainly not former Navy. Actually former Cavalry, and not a northerner either, actually from the industrial heart lands the Midland's and it's all meant in gest (banter) you see, and understand that most "civvies" don't handle it too well, but don't take what I type to heart or misinterpret it. 👍🏼 Good day.

@@kippamip I may be a civvie now but I have done my time (Crab Air) and enjoy banter as well as anyone. Yours did not come across as that especially as the vast majority of readers will be civvies. Hence my point of using the word 'tank' and pulling you up on calling the owner a 'saddo'. And I didn't call you a Northerner either. I suggested that people are not 'saddos' just because they do NOT have a Northern accent. I was being kind calling you a Jack but I stand corrected.
