BTS section is good for info/more footage, but your silent shots are what make your style unique. really looking forward to finally go and check that place in june (2 years+ after watching your first video of the area) hopefully some of the daytime timelapse footage on YT soon, yes?🙌

Great work Chris. Captured the raw beauty and atmosphere of the Ogwen Valley here perfectly. I've got many fond memories of scrambling the Heather Terrace on Tryfan back in the day, plus Chasm Face on Glyder Fach with the infamous 'catwalk' and chimney which you crawl into (I wouldn't fit these days). Particularly enjoyed the slider shot from inside and out of the tent to reveal Tryfan - keep up the good work pal. ATB

Had some decent shots from the slider that didn’t make the video, first time mountain climbing with it. Wonderful, but bloody hell it’s a pain in the ass, both faff and pretty much ruined my audio quality, live and learn I guess. Nice to put it to use. Cheers mate

Stunning video as always Chris. I love that view of the OV from there, I’ve climbed to almost that exact spot countless times to photograph the low level aircraft, that’s when I’m lucky enough they come through. I’ll never get tired of looking at the view, all there is to do for 95% of the day. I was just wondering what might come through and then that osprey flew past followed by a Texan and the Puma helicopter. I’m down in 3 weeks, I’ll have to finally summit it, seems wrong I’ve spent so long on the side of it and never have. Looking forward to your next instalment. All t’best, Aiden.
@chrishomer2 жыл бұрын
Cracking spot isn’t it. Had a handful of others that I didn’t or couldn’t film, the Puma was interesting. Was some kind of exercise going on, it was doing touchdowns at Bochlwyd both day and in the middle of the night too. Unusual but great to watch

Hi mate and thanks. Honestly though I don’t think I’ll use it again, quality fell short a lot for what I need. Leaves me with a bit of a dilemma because I’d usually just use my main body but I’m quite liking making KZbin videos now and can’t do both. Gonna have to buy a 2nd body I think.
@TheOutdoorswithTonyNoble2 жыл бұрын
@@chrishomer tbh...I'd use the m6 for timelapse too...its just I can't run it whilst it's plugged into the powerbank which obviously limits the nightlapses...😡😡

I’m partial to the old bacon Creat Whunchies n’all. As if you take a slider up a Snowdonium - that’s the kind of mentalist effort that sets your vids apart you see. Timelapses are by very nature a patient punt I suppose and you can’t win them all. But how the hell do you change the battery without wobbling the tripod and spoiling the shot? Anyway, great to see you having genuine time to chill Chris. Another corker 👍
@chrishomer2 жыл бұрын
Just by cutting the tape very gently. I’d use a longer lead but wanted to avoid the volt drop possibility. Slider was a faff yes, but wanted some shots in my portfolio, and made for a few nice scenes in the YT vid I thought, caused havoc with the sound quality though

Chris, I'm looking at those Freiesoldaten pants, I'm quite interested, but I see its an asian type measurement. How is the sizing compared to what you'd wear with UK/EU size?

Brilliant mate. Didn’t know that about northerly winds. It’s only going to be a matter of time until your channel explodes with subs, you offer something novel and it’s perfectly executed every time. You should have called your channel ASMR_MSR or something!
@chrishomer2 жыл бұрын
Hahaha that’s catchy 🤣 I’ve studied meteorology somewhat, a lot through work but also a bit down at Met office and could bore people to death with it. 🤣 but yes, southerly winds tend to be warmer obviously, at night the ground cools quickly and those warm southerlys tend to rise and the wind speed near the ground eases. Northerly winds don’t benefit anywhere near as much from the cooling ground temperatures, even in some cases they get worse, as any opposing strength from distant southerly rises and the northerly can now fill the gap and sometimes increase in speed at low levels. More subs would be nice, I love making them and it’s great knowing people view, enjoy or find them useful etc. Although I’ve been banned so much from pretty much every social media platform in the past I think I’ve now been black listed or shadow banned or something 🤣 FB, Twitter, IG, been suspended from all. Only 1 YT strike, but I’m definitely not on the good list.
@Thebluedocful2 жыл бұрын
@@chrishomer Thanks for the info Chris. Much appreciated. The subs will come, will just need a touch of time for the algorithms to work etc. There are hundreds of UK hiking / wild camping vloggers, and most are the same.
