My dad kept photos and videos of my sister’s entire childhood, teen years, college years, and early adulthood. He kept all of the years he made memories with her in a hard drive. I don’t know how he found this, but he used this song with the slides at her wedding as a part of his message for her. Safe to say, everyone at the venue shed tears.

Most of us didn't enjoy our adolescence, now that we are grown ups ,we wish to go back to those years, but it's because we learned more, so yes I would like to go back to those years but with what I know now about life, with my self esteem a little more strong now (it still has a lot of growing to do) if you think in your early twenties you lost time, I tell you I'm 40 and it took me all these time to find some strength, so your time is done when you're gone, search what you need to to make yourself happy don't waste your time in the past

My son passed away after coming back from tours in Iraq .He needed so thing to numb his pain was war does to you and it was the night I found him .All the way with over 5000 miles of ieds to worry about ambushes etc . He makes it home and we lost him . I think everything day why I did not spend more time .Did I tell tell him I loved him enough .This sucker punched me in my heart .it is so true how we will miss things and we have to hug them and tell them you love them every day .Him being my wife and our only son the pain never stops ,but Al. Those memories of him are a blessing I would never forget .What a beautiful song .Made me cry 😢

When I first discovered Jacob, about 3-4 years ago, all I wanted was for him to blow up and get the recognition he deserved. 4 years later, I just wish no one else finds him and changes him. No one should filter this voice. No one should change the instruments he mulls over. No one should interrupt this artistry. And I think I finally understand why he hasn't chosen fame himself, because if he ever does he will lose this.

Ah, yes. The nostalgia of a younger time. Where the burden wasn’t as heavy. The memories that we knew would be our greatest, but didn’t know they would hurt just as much equally. Trapped in the infinite cycle of an aging body and an ever-changing world. Waiting to reach the future yet never wanting to leave let go of the past. Enjoying the present which seems to be gone in an instant. It’s as if time has it’s own symphony.

The memories of being a young girl come flashing back to me, thinking of my daddy. Days out at the beach, swimming in the ocean. Wish I didn't have to grow up. My love for the ocean stems from my father's love for the ocean. We were so alike I wish I could have hit the pause button growing up.

Makes me think of most parents that do everything for their kids, most don’t think they’ve done enough and can’t see how much better they have done raising their child than they can ever truly see. "What I've learned from a mirror, look too hard and you find you a stranger" the way those words hit me, takes me back years ago to when I lost myself in the vicious cycle of self-sacrifice for love: morals, ambition, goals all get thrown to the wayside when you give everything to one person. the most painful part was having to face the damage I inflicted on myself. not being able to recognize the person you loved your whole life, yourself, is the emptiest of feelings.

I found this song years ago. Each and every time it sets me back . When our kids where little we where stressed and wanted them to grow up but now that they are grown up we can only dream of slowing it up to that moment they wanted us, needed us and now they know it all. I miss them deeply but I know I did my part the best I could. I gave depth, desire, attention, encouragement and most of all my love from the depths of my heart. They may never see this but Shandra, Mia, Shane, Kaya and Ivy you all are the deepest part of my heart and as I fade from this life you will always be my heart. I love you beyond my breath. ❤️❤️❤️

Watching my brother go through the lose of his 4 yr old son in a horrific car accident, this song reminds me to cherish those micro moments with my daughters. It’s not the grand moments. It’s the conversations before school, the laughter, making a meal together, holding their hands that matter. Let go of the petty, trivial aspects of life and be fully present for your family. It can be gone all too soon. Love them in the little moments of life. Take nothing for granted.
@B2U23

I've been listening to this song for a minute but it hits different when your little brother is in ICU from a car accident, in a drug induced coma, medically paralyzed, and possible brain damage.🥺 I am so so so sad and angry. I am sad because as a big sister, I haven't always kept contact. He is one of the sibilings that I trust and confide in but it's like a dream. Weeks ago we were talking about life improvement and now this. Slow up. Don't grow up on me. People, take the time to ENJOY your life. The moon will be sure to shine and when it does, there will be sad times that come with it. I can think of all of the woulda, coulda, shouldas in the world and it still won't make my brother better right now. Don't be in such a rush to grow up and get the that place of "where you think you should be in your life" because you miss the beauty along the way. 😔
